I saw something comparably bad on the front brakes of an Alero once. Must be a domestic thing. The rotor was almost totally apart in two pieces, kinda like a two piece rotor would come apart, only this one wasn’t supposed to. The caliper wasn’t doing anything and it was just zip tied on, it was actually amazing it wasn’t hitting the wheel.

HTF did they manage that… I’ve seen some FUBAR brakes before, but that takes the cake…
I was going to say “the pad looks relatively new…” but there’s nothing there to wear down the pad.
