The "flawless" GT-R has a flaw! Oh noes!

that sucks balls

i heard the american versions dont have that limiter

if the ameriacan version does not have that then thats sick finally we get something cool that they dont have in japan lol

seriously if i had money to piss away on a new gt-r. i’d get a r34 and swap motors. done deal w/o all these gay electronics. and theres been alot of people crashing these already

the american one doesn’t have the limiter.

You guys do realize your getting your panties in a bunch over basically the same thing every other car company reserves the right to do? EVERY auto manufacturer has written into the warranty that they will not cover repairs for driver abuse, misuse or if the improper fluid is used. BMW specifies they can void your warranty for ANY after market modification and since you sign on the dotted line you can be help to it without that whole “prove it was the mod that did it” BS.

LAWL. i nearly spit out my drink when reading this. :mwahaha

you cant sign a contract that breaks a law, or so i thought.

i agree though every company has similar guidelines in their warranties.

Right because that would be incredibly easy.

Guy who I bought my Supra from gets his tommorow I’ll ask him what he thinks. Might take a ride out there and check it out. Maybe pilot the bitch.

Yeah srsly, just buy an R34 you can get a kit car one legally.

-1 :wtf

The american model is governed at 143 or 153 IIRC? No more no less. The japanese varient of the R35 has a GPS unit that detects weather or no the car is in a race track, if so the 110mph limiter gets removed and the GTR can go as fast as she wants till she brakes or hits a wall.

112mph to be precise.

either way shits weak.

im sure somone found a way to hack that shit… ::slight_smile:

So you’d buy an R34… And swap to the R35 motor? Why? I’d much rather have the RB26 built, than buy anR35 motor which COULD fit, but might not work due to all the more sensors and such that the car uses for input.

Not to mention there’s literally zero internal motor parts available, very little aftermarket support thus far for the R35 compared to the R34.

if you actually listened to that episode you would know that is only on the japanese version. and that is the same with every japanese car. cars are governed at 112mph by law in japan. everone has made a big deal about that, but everybody fails to realize that its not that way anywhere except japan.

Yeah, plus there’s not a whole lot of room to do high speeds, well compared to most other places where the car is sold, of course.
