Good watch! I did the 4DX experience. It was cool! IDK if it was worth $27 but it was fun to try. Not sure if I’d do it again.

Hail Mary was great. Missed some plot points from the book, but that’s expected.
Can confirm Hail Mary was worth the watch.
I put requested the audiobook from the library, so in 16 weeks I’ll try and compare.

Author is based and currently being attacked from the left on X because he refuses to add current social commentary to his work. Also wrote The Martian. It’s one of the books in my collection.

Looks like Project Hail Mary 1080p rips are out because my downloader automatically pulled it overnight. Probably check it out tonight.
You know what was surprisingly good? Hoppers. Did it have an environmental theme? Well yeah, it’s an animated movie about trying to build a highway straight over the top of a beaver dam/pond. But that wasn’t the main story, the characters and their arc was. Reminds me of the good old days of Pixar when movies like WALL-E could have an underlying message about maybe we shouldn’t dump garbage everywhere and being giant fat lazy slobs, but they didn’t beat you over the head with woke shit and made the movie entertaining. I honestly lol’d a bunch during Hoppers. I also read after watching it that the wokism was WAY stronger on the initial write and the studio execs went, “Nope, fuck that, tired our losing our asses on woke projects, re-write it as something people will enjoy and make us money”.

Deleted the rip of Project Hail Mary I had because all the rips so far are only 2 channel audio and I’m a home theater snob, especially when it comes to scifi stuff like this. 5.1 audio minimum.
Finally got time to watch Project Hail Mary with the family. Daughter is an aerospace engineering major so really wanted to wait till we all had time to watch it together.
10/10. Best movie I’ve seen in years.

Watched Project Hail Mary a second time last night. Yeah, it’s that good.
I really want like a 4 hour cut of that movie so they can go into some of the details they skipped from the book.

But it was in spanish and not available in english yet. I hate burning Audible credits on books so I’ll probably wait
Just downloaded the epub and sent it to my wife’s Kindle.
Watched Project Hail Mary last weekend, man…that was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. 10/10.

I went in thinking it was just a hyped up notebook dude movie, but I was really surprised, it’s a cool plot.
