4 door neon is lighter than a 2 door neon. Just one example off the top of my head, if I did research (cared too) I’m sure I could find more examples. I still have yet to hear one reason why a 2 door is better than a 4 door. Unless you like the “check me out, i have 2 doors, a wing, and shaved door handles, respect me” mentality, it shouldn’t matter if you have a mini-van. If you are running 12’s or faster, its respectable.
If an evo came in a 2 door version, would it be faster, probably not. Would it be harder to get people into the back seat, yes. Would it look cooler, probably not, would it be harder to load your slicks in the car, yes.
I actually like taking the evo to Wegmans better then the talon. Its a lot easier to load up.
2 doors make no sense unless you only have 2 seats. But, you probably suck at life.
Plenty of reasons, some of which Mark stated above. It’s fairly neat to have a car thats light, quick and can carry around 5 people when you need it too, not to mention having a trunk vs a hatch.
2 door G35s are heavier than the sedans.
I’ve said it before, for a daily driver coupes are for ricers as they are completely a cosmetic mod and serve no functional purpose (other than hatchback variants).

Many four-doors are lighter. 4 doors mean an integral B pillar smack in the center of the chassis, where as a two door may need additional bracing, plus the doors and hinges are heavier. In the 60’s, the real :snky: guys would get 4-door Impalas and 409’s for sleepers.
