I dont like them for some reason lol so I got the MKI ones .
got the car home 5 minutes ago from were I tore the motor out. so I’m going to degrease the engine bay and paint it high gloss black. Jplatt’s comin’ for a visit maybe later so looking forward to the visit of his sr20 powered s12.
dammm dawg, your beating me at the s12 build!!! looking good cant wait to compare our final products
last friday me and my friend got the engine out, was tricky to unbolt the mounts but we got it out without unbolting the brackets from the block. everything is out the baY, just got to finish sanding, then should b able to have it painted by the end of this weekend
sweet purple. looks the same as the way i always do my ka valve covers.
yeah i just took them off and left screws in so when i painted it would e a nice job. will be put back together properly tomorrow when the paint is 100% dry
BTW, the stock high pressure line on the S12 may not fit onto the high pressure fitting of the KA pump. It didnt for the CA sigh… Just something to note.

You will likely have to wire up a new FP relay as well, make sure you run the lead and ground directly off the pump. The traced wire didn’t work some some reason… Possibly because it is the same source for a million other (now disconnected or cut) accessories. It’s the black and pink wire, if im not mistaken.
my buddy dose all my wiring for me, its not that i dont trust my wiring ability’s its just he’s so much better then me lol. ill have to tell him what you said about the FP relay
i didnt use a primer i used a mild reducer and de-greaser to clean it up then prepped with scotch brite pads then reduced it again to remove anything, then i used Armour coat rust paint its a very durable rust protection paint and looks good to.
well i got a surprise today . i got to talk to henry him self on AIM we talked for a good hr or so on s12’s and such. he’s such a cool guy. you guys should check out his blog you’ll be impressed with his skills. http://jumbosandbox.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
I think whomever mentioned cutting the mount does not understand the sheer idiocy behind nissan’s motor mount design for thise car haha. Just keep at it man, you’ll get it. I had the same problem. Just takes patience.
The S13 mount goes in alot easier than the mount coming out.
I can’t remember from last year when I last worked on a S12. We put a SR20DET in a 4 door. Just don’t remember what happened when we got to the motor mounts to be honest.
