My gut tells me Trump will win even bigger than in 2016. Just going by what I see in my own reality. Certain key things on fb and social media skew that a bit, but I remember seeing WAY more enthusiasm for Hillary than I do for Sleepy Joe. I really think that Harris chick scares people.
I disagree. I live in trumpville and last year there were zero Hillary signs. This year the number of trump signs is the same, but lots of Biden signs, and more every day it seems. My trumpublican in laws arenāt voting this year because theyāve had enough of his, and I quote, bullshit
i cannot see how Trump doesnt break the popular vote record this time.
anyone who voted for him last time got exactly what they wanted and millions more have now seen the light.
iāve got $100 down on landslideā¦ but iām also being extremely hopeful.
Agreed. Iāve spent half of the summer in Ohio, PA and they are so fed up with being locked down. My friend owns a huge suspension company and his plant can function perfectly normal with covid protocols in place. One guy can weld all day in a corner. Another guy can operate a cnc 75 feet away, etc. But no, the governor shut them down for months. Now they are months behind and trying to fill orders from the spring.
There was a line out the door at my polling place in Williamsville at 6:50am today. That has never happened in all the years Iāve been voting there.
I think thereās a lot of sentiment that if the situation had been managed differently at the federal level weād be past lockdowns. So who knows what people are thinking, it could go either way.
I think hopeful is an overstatement. Unrealistic is more like it. Iād happily eat my words come tomorrow if Iām wrong, but I think itāll be a blowout against trump. The 2018 midterms served as a referendum of sorts, and the dems performed very well. And this year, even if the polls are wrong by the same amount they were in 2016, he still loses. Itās a very different race. People hated Hillary - vastly fewer people hate Biden
Lines at my polling place today as well, at my usual time. In the past I could walk in and see maybe 3 other people. This year itās at least as busy as the previous presidential election.
Itās sad to say but I feel Iām more excited to see what is going to happen with the candidate on the losing side along with all those extreme people on that side and how they will lash out rather than the election itself.
It is super sad to see that NYC is boarding up store fronts in anticipation of rioting/looting because of the election results.
I see people posting how they are excited that the election is finally going to be over so they donāt have to see all the post about it while forgetting that the following days are going to be filled with complainers and gloaters along with wanting recounts and/or saying the election was rigged. We are about to have a nightmare on our hands.
Biden campaign said today that they can win without PA. That would be interesting for sure.
Just got back. Took about 25mins.
And it never fails that they dont have the TWO districts clearly marked. So we always seem to end up in the wrong line.
-arrive - weāre here for district 1
-its the shorter line, youāre lucky
-gets in shorter line
-asks other people after a few mins
-nope this is district 2
-get in longer, district 1 line
Dan
Not a good sign for Biden if theyāre already making excuses for PA and FL.
For those looking for a source, https://joeisdone.github.io/florida/
Thatās Florida.
Also, Iāve tried to send that link to someone with an iPhone and they canāt receive it
Am I reading it right that map is only early votes and does not include today? Iād be surprised if it includes today because my county (Duval) is showing a higher mix of Demsā¦ which would be odd.
No, FL is reporting every 20min vote turnout by dem/rep. So what youāre seeing from that link is near real-time turnout TODAY while also compared to 2016.
The inference you can make from the data, at least to this point, is Republicans are outperforming.
Thanks, just still weird to see Duval voting more Dem.
Thatās your early / mail in vote, thatās why.
