The Walking Dead

starting the books as soon as they come in.

The ten minutes where they just drove around in pickups, unloading on walkers with 12-ga. pistol-grip pumps looked fun. I need to stop watching Top Shot :stuck_out_tongue:

Really good finale. I almost cheered when Rick gave his “Go fuck yourselves, this isn’t a democracy” speech. Also told my wife that if it was us and she gave me that look Lorrie gave Rick when Rick told her about Carl having to shoot zombie Shane I would have punched her right in the face. If you want to stay home and play useless Sally Homemaker during the apocalypse at least keep our damn kid home.

Still laughing at the redneck rolling around on the motorcycle. I get the allure of wind in your glorious mullet but when they are hordes of zombies around I think I’d take something with doors and windows no matter how much I hated cagers.

A little disappointed that they had a zombie horde overrun a farm but no use was made of a combine harvester. That could have been the most awesome moment ever seen on a TV screen.

Who was the sword weilding badass with the chained-up zombie pets?

No idea. Only way you’d know is if you’re reading the comics, which really shouldn’t discussed here.

Is it someone from the comic? I know some of the characters are new or different. More of a rhetorical question really…

From what I was spoiled, it was a comic character.

Her name is Michonne which is all they tell you at this point. All that is known from the TV series is she’s a Katina wielding badass who has two pet zombies she uses as a “force field of smell.”

Before JayS gets his panties in a bunch, that was all info from the after show discussions in which they reveal nothing but the obvious and things that have happened in the past.

I guess that brings up another tangent: Does anyone watch The Talking Dead? I’m sure there’s some “spoilers” there but at least it won’t ruin the continuity for the TV watchers. I think I saw three minutes of it and decided my time was better spent elsewhere

I catch it online whenever I have time. They just go into the story and give opinions on it. They talk about what has happened and the interpretations of such. Robert Kirkman reveals almost NOTHING for both past and future whenever he’s on. There aren’t any spoilers on there. If anything they talk about the obvious and how comparing the show to the comic doesn’t make much sense any more as they’ve diverged so much.

They are definitely very different. It’s as if they simply used characters and scenes from the comic, and not much else. It’s hard to say that anyone talking about the comic at this point is spoiling much more than who a character is and where they’re going. Most of the action and relationships have been changed in the show.

“This is no longer a democracy”

Best line out of the whole series by far.

I’m hoping they develop a few of the characters a bit more. If T dogg died I really wouldn’t care. All I know is he has butter fingers.

Caught a few episodes of this on netflix. Seemed pretty lame. Would not subscribe.

I feel that way about most of them. Other than Rick, Glenn and Carl I really don’t care if any of them get eaten. In fact several I’m hoping get die because it’s aggravating watching them make so many stupid decisions.

Like Carol

Here’s t-dogs diary from season 2. I was kinda hoping he’d dump Lori on the side of the road.

I agree… but add Herschel to the list. I thought he was making a last stand last episode, but was glad to see he got away.

Yeah, I like Herschel too. In the grand scheme of things he may be one of the more important people you want in your crew.

And Lorrie, and Andrea, and Hershel’s emo daughter and… pretty much every character on the show that has a vagina.

I told my wife she was the only adult woman allowed in my post apocalypse group, and even then it was only because I had to.
