In the city specifically I would take them by delaware park, then cruise down middlesex passing by all the mansions, and the historical society. Cruise by the art gallery, then down elmwood. Elmwood down to the marina. Maybe show them some of the lofts downtown, city hall, chippewa, HSBC.

lol sounds like that’s exactly what I was thinking of, I just don’t know the area well enough so I wasn’t positive where it was.
The #1 thing buffalo has to sell itself is the Quality of Life…
Make sure they know we had the best summer weather in the USA according to the NWS
Take them through some of the nicer areas around Delaware Park, Nottingham, Oakland, Lincoln, Parkside and have some hard data behind the average home prices, or at least some examples.
Note we have very low likelihood of natural disaster beyond a snowstorm or two. No hurricanes, (almost) no tornadoes, no terrible floods, no mudslides, forest fires, etc.
Point out that you can generally drive anywhere in 15-20 minutes.
Take them to Fiamma
Note the massive increase in investments being made in the city over the last 2 years (I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but it is a HUGE increase)
Obviously the medical campus is a big deal and you may want to take a ride around there.
The biggest thing is feeling these guys out and knowing what will cater to their interests… are they suburban types? Obviously the city might not be the thing to spend your time showing.
Oh, and Josh said it already… Duo is a pretty sweet place too.
Here’s a fun one that might require toeing the line of political correctness:
If you happen to find out that they’re catholic you could swing by OLV Basilica. Granted that will require driving through Lackawanna, which should probably be avoided on a sale of Buffalo…
If they’re here to see if they’d like living in the city I don’t think they would care too much about the falls and casinos. Falls ok for a tourist attraction, casino…meh… If they’re “ballers” they’d go to real casinos in vegas. If I was looking to move to Buffalo I MIGHT base 0.1% of my decision on the falls and casinos.
I would show them things that bikerfry recommended, things they would actually do on a regular basis if they lived here.
Niawanda park and the canal would be a good place to show them. Alot more presentable than the downtown waterfront.
 And remember, Buffalo isn’t “struggling” financially it’s “transitioning.”
(Specifically from big manufacturing to small high tech niche industries and knowledge work. So it’s only a bad place to be if you’re an uneducated laborer, but we also have some top notch institutes of higher learning and research in the area to ensure that their kids can stay close to Mommy & Daddy and still have great education leading to successful careers.)
Working in Buffalo != living in Buffalo. All of the local execs that I know in healthcare do not live in the city, or within 20 minutes of the city. Are you really concerned with selling them a house, or showing them that there is stuff to do on a Friday night? if you’re trying to sell Friday night, don’t use Buffalo.
I’m pretty sure that property belongs to the family that owns Sorrento cheese. I wonder why they’re selling it. I can’t think of their name right now, but my dad used to work for Sorrento, and he said that one of their garages had some pretty damn nice cars in there.
Did you list NYSpeed as a reference when you got this job?

LOL,
Well, It was a woman and she is from atlanta and loved buffalo. Loved all the shops on elmwood, and she pointed out the lack of diversitys…which was a good thing.
I took her to shanghia reds, and she loved being on the water, I told her a little bit about the history, sheas, antique stores, Orchard park, EA, all the burbs.

im the one who valeted your car down there. i worked for 2 1/2 hours and your car was the only one i parked. nice restaraunt isnt? i would recommend it to anyone. you just got in the on a slow night.
Its really a lost cause…i talk to alot of people from outside buffalo and they all know its bad, its the second poorest city in the country and only getting worse. If you live in buffalo and you have money good for you, but good luck impressing people from outside the area.

I believe they also own the breakfast truck service with the cute girls that drive around to all the shops. I think they own the strip of houses that are near that big one. The last name escapes me though.
The garage you are talking about used to house a TON of old vettes. I think they sold most of them off.

Pine Hill?
This woman was from Atlanta and liked Buffalo more than Atlanta.
AKA-Ferrari,
What part of over developed Arizona do you live in again?
