why did you pick the .357 SIG round? I know the secret service uses it but ammo is very expensive. Pretty much a necked down .40 cal brass

No real reason other than I like the penetration and muzzle velocity, and after renting one at a range I LOVED the gun. Ammo actually isn’t significantly more expensive than 9mm or .40, so thats not an issue for me.

in GA specifically, I just lookedit up, you can get a handgun/permit at same location assuming you have never had a felony and you have a valid Georgia license. So, real easy. In the OP defense, this city has around 3-4 pubicly known shootings/week. Granted there are 7M+ people in this city, but a disturbing number nonetheless.

I really love the Glock 19.
It is a 9mm so the ammo is cheap. That is good because then you can shoot it often, which allows you to be comfortable with the gun, and actually good at using it.
Here is one with the optional pressure triggered laser. This will be my next gun purchase.
If you ever buy a 9mm, buy a glock.
If you want something bigger, the only gun I would get would be the Kimber Ultra Carry.
If you are a good shot, and know how to use a gun, I would also recommend a Walther .22. Yes i know it is small, but the things a hollow point high velocity .22 will do is scary. Plus .22s have a tendency to “bounce” around off bones inside a person causing massive internal damage.
It is hard to tell, but the P22 is a tiny gun. Very easily fit into your pocket.
i like my glock 21. it’s .45 cal. i think i’m gonna buy the glock 30sf next time i get paid. it’s .45 like the 21, but with a shorter frame, holds fewer rounds, and has a shorter barrel.
get a .45. it is a VERY good man stopper. be warned though, the bullet WILL go through a person!

-Regardless I have a glock .45 and a glock .40. Theyre both great guns and basically maintenance free. Stay away from 9mm.'s theres no stopping power.
I bet if you shoot someone in the right areas a 9mm will stop someone just fine.
