In Grade 11, without my G1 or any license of that sort, Just felt like doing something fun in all my free time. I got pics from a seller, and to be completely honest, Its Junk. Its an hours drive away, not even sure its a standard tranny ( I know how to drive manual ). The owner emailed me and was selling for $600. Paints Pretty faded, Dirty interior, rails are shot, Engine looks like ka, Still running. I think its a good idea, Problem is I need a way to get to my house or a storage place without getting pulled over and i need more money for it :S. What’re your thoughts?

Thing is, I dont really want to keep it, Its kinda like a project to flip. if i make it look okay, someone will pay decent coin for it, Cause i cant get a job and in need of the money. Also Sorry 240racer for insulting your car, didnt know. P.S. The delivery isnt a problem, i can get dealer plates and one of my bros can drive it.

You will lose money if you do anything with that other than part it out, and for $600 you might just break even with parting it out.

But the truth is, you won’t make a cent on this car or any other car you flip
Cars aren’t an investment at all and the market is at its worst right now
The only way you can make money is if you find all parts for really really cheap and put them on a nice clean chassis that you also bought for really really cheap and of course if you did a clean and proper job!

No insult to me man. Its not a car I ever put any work into, or gave 2 shits about, I was just going to use it for parts.
Although I think $600 sounds right and you should come drive it away (after you fix the brakes in my driveway) 
Like s14rb25 said. Unless you get everything for next to nothing. You don’t stand a chance for flipping it. And without a jon you definaitely don’t stand a chance. You won’t have the income to buy things that would make it appealing to someone. And if the owner is even telling you not to buy it in the hopes of a rolling chassis. Then its not worth the time. For a parts car for another 240 you may get. Great idea. But without an income. You’re s o l my friend. Save your money for something else for yourself. It costs money to make money.

^^The kid is only what, 16? no license and no job… I highly doubt saving for a house has even crossed his mind nor should it have. Be a kid and have some fun with a beater!! how else will you learn? However with that said this car is better off as a parts car. From what they are saying it’s not worth trying to put on the road. Keep looking!! GL

^^LOL. Good idea, there are definately some idiot in my school that would buy it after me. But it all depends on how this next week or 2 goes, if I can make another 6 bills. If I do get it, its probably going to become a big project, and ill probably keep it. I didn’t expect this much response to the thread, nice to see interested members.
