IMO it will cost more than $40 for that event, not to mention fuel is double the price. Nothing is cheap in Japan except old games and accessories at Akihabara.

Your right an event such as fuji would probably be around 200 for the day
normal circuts which he does its around 80 for the day
small circuts are like 20-40bucks
