The coming weekend looks like nice weather so which are you planing on going to? I’ve talked to several people going to Watkins Glen and several going to Cars & Coffee.
Whats going on at the Glen?
If anything for me, it will be CC…too many other things going on to break away for a half day…as much as I’d like to…
Wish my ride was going to be on the road for either of these events.
Coming home from Rochester with the Mustang on sunday. Wont make the C&C. Might go down to the Glen instead for the day.
Here is what I’m doing:
This years kick-off cruise for western NY will be on Sunday April 19th, this kick-off cruise to the opening weekend of Watkins Glen has become a tradition for us and we are now entering our 3rd season starting Western NY season off by going there, we get anywhere from 40-50 each year, there will be meeting points through out the area with 1 central meeting point in Geneva for all of us to meet and cruise down as a group. I will be setting up the time with Watkins Glen for us to go out, this year will be 2pm for NY Mustangs. We will meet at the parking lot next to the Fastenal gas station where we meet last year, we will meet here at 12:30, gather everyone and leave NO LATER then 1pm to go down to the Glen.
For all Rochester people, we will meet at Target in Henrietta off Hylan Dr at 11am, we will leave at 11:30am to travel to Geneva. We can have the Buffalo group meet us here also and all go down together.
The cost is $25.00 per vehicle, not person. This will give you 3 laps on the course and then we will meet next to the garages afterwards like last year for some pictures and a group.
Regarding Watkins Glen, This is the opening day at the track. You sign up and pay when you get there. You can also bring another car and not your Mustang. You will just be put in back of the pack but you still will be able to run with us. The long range weather forecast even looks more promising.
We will be leaving from the Flying J in Pembroke at 10:15 am Sunday to meet up with the Rochester Group. This should give us enough time to make it to Rochester. We are planning on stopping in Geneva for a quick lunch. If it is easier for you to head right to the Glen we will see you there. Right now there are 40 people signed up from across the State attending this event. It is $25 or 3 laps and you may be able to buy additional laps if there is time. Right now the long term weather prediction looks favorable.
C&C in my buddy’s Mustang.
You can ride with me if I end up going…
Oh Jesus. Let me get the Crisco and the extractor.
I’m thinking I’ll check out c&c. Never been
Neither of my cars are ready so I voted Home Depot. Maybe ill fix one on Saturday.
I intended to have tires on my car for this weekeend… and then I forgot about. I’ll probably go to one of them though.
I’ve done both before, and honestly the glen thing was kinda boring. However I have spent some tracktime there, so parade laps around the track are no longer the highlight.
X…
Word.
Dude, I was talking about my car…on the other hand…
Is anyone else running the Arc Grand Prix 5k? I didn’t realize it was opening day when I signed up, but I’ll be there by default for opening day.
That’s on Saturday right?
Yes, 8am.
Same, parade laps are just frustrating.
I may go to C&C, Datsun needs a ton and m5 is gone but the Alfa is ready to roll
I’m down for C&C
