my uncle and his g/f were on the way to albany for a nice day at the museum under the state building when they were passing on the left (doing speed limit) blinded by the sun he couldnt see there was a car coming from ahead, the car made no attempt to swerve or hit the brakes, they struck the left side of the car, throwing her body in the air and his into the car
they were both sent to AMS in critical condition…she had 2 broken femurs a broken collar bone and i think a rib
he lost 70% of the use of his left arm (tattooing arm)
lost his left leg and shattered his whole pelvis
now he is continuing tattooing at his buisness, he has regained alot of his stregnth in his left arm and is still tattooing with it which took months and months of practice in the hospital
this is also to remind car drivers to be extra cautious…when im on the road and i see a bike i give them double the space i do for a car and i hope you all would do the same, please watch out
here are some links to his myspace and the shop myspace, look through it at some of the work and next time i see my brother ill take a pic of his for ya to see
Good post.
I was looking into accident reports just recently as a spring preparation to instill some healthy fear, and found some pretty horrible stuff like the guy who hit a pole on his ktm and got ripped in half. You can never be too careful on the road regardless of what you drive/ride.
