Thoughts: Bike For ~$2500 bones

way to change the title on me silly

Those are nice. I’ve spent some time in the saddle of them. Rev limiter cuts the fun a bit early and it could use a 6th gear, but otherwise great all around bike.

Of course I probably only have those complaints because my last bike was an '85 Nighthawk S, which was very similar except 50cc smaller but with a higher redline and a 6th gear.

Heck if you can find one of those it’d be great. They only made them from '84 to '86. Just like the 750 Nighthawks but a bit sportier, and like I said 6 gears and a higher redline. I can’t even tell you how much I miss mine…

Mine looked just like this:

just buy one of them already…
they really are cheap enough to just have one in the garage all the time :-p

I tears it up with my 68 hp.

I’m looking at a 1996 cb750 with 11K on thursday

there ya go… sounds better than a buell blast… i dont know how u’ve ridden before and NOT wanted something bigger, faster, more agile… etc etc

not everyone is in it for that willy. geez!!! :pimp:

I would rather try to get my car into the bike range to rip with and just have a bike for fun. Maybe I am just to much of a wuss to push my bike too much. I rode my old 1979 cb750F for 2 summers, covering somewhere in the range of 5K miles.

I’m looking at a 1996 nighthawk tomarrow.

… i just like being able to know i can stop fast, turn fast, and accel fast… the wheelies dont mean much, nor do the stoppies, im a big fan of agility… acceleration is nice too.

I guess with gas prices the way they are, id rather have a quick bike and a year round fun car at this point in my life… we’ll see if that changes in the near future or not… who knows
