Thursday 12/1: Old man (or woman) night out at Dakota Grill/Cigar Bar

I had a cuban wrapped in Cedar in Canada at the LionsHead Golf Club…it was very flavorful, but maybe because it was one of the first good cigars I had that I credit the cedar wrapping.

I seem to be enjoying the Maxim’s recently… Very smooth…

I am not a big fan of anything from Cuba… I like the Dominican’s better…

I have found that lots of people who dont’ like Cubans have smoked fakes. And fake Cubans are usually very very cheap rip offs with much poorer quality than even the cheapo Dominican brands. However, a few weeks ago I had a PSD4 which is said to be one of the best Cubans available today and it wasn’t as good as some Dominicans I’ve had.

Karl, I’ll smoke the rest of those some day. Age makes them better though…remember that.

I totally agree that the quality of the fake “cubans” is terrible. I had a couple in the past and they were absolutly aweful. Then I had a real Cohiba, pretty damn good, but lately i’ve been sticking to Dominicans. Recently, Partagas Ciafuente have been the smoke of choice.

Yeah my favorite is a Dominican. Padron Anniversary 1964 = best cigar I’ve ever had. And at $14+ a stick, I don’t get very many.

I agree about the smoke bothering me, I find that if you start smoking it doesnt bother you as much.

that sounds like a sweet place to hang out, i gotta check if theres one of them near me.

It is a pretty cool place, the only place i know of that you can still smoke. Where are you located?

where is this locale anyway? sounds interesting.

it’s located at Maple and Sweethome.

will keep that in mind.
