So I was thinking about heading up to the Dakota Grill’s Cigar Bar for some good smokes and bourbon. Yes I know, very old man like. Let me know if anyone is interested, i’ll meet you up there around 8pm on Thursday.
8pm? how old ARE you
STFU, I am old too…
Us older folks can’t do the 10:30 shit because we have job’s that require us to get our asses out of bed at 6:00am. (Sarcasm)
Mmmmmm, Cigars and Bourbon… Talkin dirty to me…
Not that old (24), I just don’t want to be out super late, lots of stuff to do fri morning including that damn thing that gets in the way all the time…Work.
ill go! i love bourbon
sounds great then, i’ll some of you around 8ish on thurs.
Dakota has good food. But I can’t stand the cigar smoke for too long. So if you guys are smoking the Comachos, I’ll have to pass.
I won’t be smoking, and likewise, the smoke can be irritating, but I intend on stopping in for a drink or two
on that note its crazy going to bars out of state where they dont have strict smoking laws. i’ve grown accustomed to being in places where smoking is prohibited, that when i’ve gone to bars with a cloud of smoke lingering around everyone i quickly grow annoyed and become irritable ( for a little while at least )
That sounds great. I have some Cubans I have been meaning to try.
I totally understand getting irritated by the smoke, the ventilation/smoke filtration is actually very good there. Definitly stop by for a beverage or two or three even if you are not going to smoke.
So you can smoke in an enclosed area only if it’s a cigar establishment?
In that case, I might have to rethink going.
Basically.
Hmm didn’t know that. What makes it different from cigarette smoke?
I dunno. How the cigar burns (or what chemicals they use)? Maybe it’s allowed there because of the ventilation system? Then again, it might be cigar smoke only. Last time I went to Dakotas, I was in the cigar room, but I didn’t see any cigarette smokers, only cigars. It’s kinda dark in there, and I was busy eating double chocolate cake a la mode, and the raviolli fried things with the breadcrumbs so who knows what was really going on in there  When I have chocolate cake, I get tunnel vision.
Cedar wrapped? cuz those are the best…I may have to stop up for this…Do they have a humidore sp.? to select from or is a BYO?
Yes they have a selection of cigars and a humidor in the Cigar Bar, but they have no problems with you bringing your own.
Negative on the cedar wrapping. I really don’t notice much difference with the cedar wrap though. The only thing those are good for is setting on fire so you can light the cigar with them. Then you get a little cedar smoke flavor on the first few puffs.
I really can’t think of any Cubans that are cedar wrapped. I know of lots of Dominicans that are though.
. . .oh stop it!!! you know you won’t smoke those?!
hmmm… i may want to go to see the two fireplaces i installed there
