It will only get better when these “guilty regardless of innocence” judges start handling Buffalo’s red light camera tickets.
Bump this old thread… I got 2 tickets in B-lo one a imprudent speed, the other on a different day stop sign.
Both 3 point Violations… I REALLY dont want 6 points on my license, both local cop’s whats the odd’s they will show. i know troopers get paid to show up, same thing with local cops?
Time and a half. Yeah almost all cops get paid to go to court.
Then you REALLY shouldn’t break the law in Buffalo. Sorry man, you’re SOL. Chances the cop won’t show are slim to none since they get overtime pay for court duty.
the stop sign one sounded like your story, I had stoped to make a delivery, (I can bring in the aff from the serve) parked at the stop line made the serve ran back to my car and left in a hurry cop say me moving quick threw the intersection thought i blew it off.
the imprudent speed one I was being stupid, I fishtailed a rental silverado in the snow… didn’t hit anything wasn’t exceeding the limit… but not a hole lot of dafense… would it be worth it to hire a lawyer?
^ Can’t tell if if it’s worth it or not because I haven’t had experience in Buffalo court when bringing a lawyer. I can say no matter how well you prepare your case on your own the judge is going to ignore you without one. The only question is will he have some professional courtesy if your case is presented by a member of the bar. Probably not, but maybe that’s my deep felt hatred for everything city of Buffalo talking.
