Just recently today, I was leaving my neighbourhood and I didn’t completely stop @ a stop sign…little do I know cuz of complaints, there was a crackdown today and I got caught unfortunately while heading to school.
I got issued a 85$ ticket totalling $110, and I hear you lose demerit points too:/: this is my first ticket ever, but besides that fact I know I’m in the process of being screwed.
Is there anyway I can avoid losing points from this? anyone been through this?

You can avoid losing points by coming to a full stop the first time around. It’s not hard and it only takes an extra 5 seconds.
But, since you have already done it. Man up and pay it. Lesson learned. Obey the laws put in place and you won’t get anymore tickets. Unless you enjoy you insurance premiums sky rocketing.
Lol, they will drop the price of the fine but as long as you are charged with failure to stop, you will get 3 points. I just went through the whole process. Its not a big deal man.
To the OP.Yes, as a matter of fact I did. For the EXACT same thing. There’s a 4 way stop 4 houses down from me. About 5 years ago I did what you did. Got a ticket.
Instead of wasting the courts time for such a trivial mistake. I paid the ticket. Lived with the points.

Why is everyone an asshole when they ask for advice!! EVERYONE on this board has done a rolling stop or something along those lines like speeding or whatever! so if you dont have ADVICE STFU!!
Hey man just go to court and fight it! the worst is that you have to pay!
Take it to court and challenge the officer’s evidence.
If he doesn’t show up (which is honestly probably around a 70% chance), plea not guilty and walk out with a big grin on your face from paying nothing and getting 0 points. If he does show up, talk to the lawyer in the courtroom (the person you check in with) for a better agreement. If you have to do the latter, I don’t know if you can get off without the points but you’ll at least have a lower fine.
Anyway, it’s pretty much always worth taking a ticket to court with the hope that the officer doesn’t show up (especially minor offenses) since it happens all the time. That is if you have the time (no work/school) to do it.
Why are you even posting this? Sure its a shitty ticket, but you even admited to doing it.
Don’t hire one of those POINTS guys. They guarantee to get results or its free… They will get the fine dropped to 0 but charge you $300 to do it and the points/ticket will remain on your insurance record for 3 years. Shit deal; got one myself a few years ago too.
Don’t think it’s about who rolls stop signs. I roll them all the time, if I roll it and get a ticket… I deserve it. There’s no real way to fight it. You either obeyed the STOP sign or you didn’t. It’s not that hard to spend that extra little bit and come to a complete (cops will even deal with the SLIGHTEST roll, so you might not need to COMPLETELY stop) stop. That’s all.
Because it’s not hard to obey the law. Everyone has done things like that. But, they only complain when they get caught or get a ticket for it… So you can get away with breaking some sort of law 99.9% of the time. Then when you get caught you whine about it or won’t own up to it?

I did give him advice. My advice was to own up to his mistake and live with it.
Fight it, and ignore the hypocrite haters, they’ll just drive you (no pun intended) to say wrong things that do not represent the way you are in real life. Like I said worst place to ask for advice.
Check ontario traffic tickets, they are great, helped me.
LOL gurp i got the same ticket in wassaga and u were with me and i was the only guy to get it and we all went through as well as +15 other cars, fought that shit and got off with improper stop and noti stop @ every stop.
dont even worry about it…i fight every ticket i get…and ive had 40 over’s which ive had reduced to 10 over in court…ive had every ticket ive ever gotten which is about seven reduced to little or no points…use the system…courts are easy and kinda fun haha…
