I think everyone’s view on marijuana is skewed. I might maybe smoke some to increase my appetite. I’m now a healthy 165lbs moved up from 140ish, and it’s gained in a way without chemicals or powders.
Saying you’ll take nothing that changes how you feel is fine, I felt that way in the 10th grade too. Some people that smoke end up being stoners, some do not. This kind of issue obviously isn’t just black and white, right and wrong, blah blah blah.

just a little devils advocate stance here, do you take aspirin when you get a headache? or anykind of cough syrup, pepto bismol for there intended uses? thats using chemicals to make you feel differant. i personally do not take aspirin or any of that other shit. i see way to often on tv “did you take XXX medicine? if so you mmay have anal leakage, premature ejaculation or even DEATH!!” fuck that. i dont trust ANY pharms. when i broke my collarbones they wanted me on narcotic painkillers. FUCK THAT NOISE. herbal cure is the way for me. (this next sentence is purely hypothetical) i know everything about it because i watch and nuture it straight from the seed. no added chems and all natural. it does help with pain for me. it may or may not for someone else but the same goes for prescription meds. some work for some people and some dont in which case you nbeed to switch scripts. Ganj is the same way, Purple sticky punch not doing it for you? maybe you need Jack Herer or strawberry cough. maybe you need more indica than sativa.
its unfair to judge and condemn something you have little to no firsthand experience with. i never liked honda but now i daily one and i love every minute with it. im not saying how you feel is wrong because some very valid points have been made about the negative effects as far as mental addiction and what not. but you can get mentally addicted to anything. i have a much bigger addiction to cars and creating things than i do smoking some tree. i dont even smoke daily but i sure as shit try to scrape moeny together everyday to buy some new parts for my cars. and im not directing this specifically at you Newman. its just an open ended statement for people on your side of the fence
Under all but the most extreme cases, I do not use OTC medicines, nor have I been issued a prescription in 8+ years.
However, I did not condemn Marijuana for medical uses. Recreational use is another story.
even on the recreational use premise it cant get wishy-washy. it stimulates brain cells that are normally not used which can lead to creative thinking. i know when i have exhausted all of my thinkg power and other resources, if i toke a bit i usually come up with a solution i otherwise may not have had i not smoked. its all in the eye of the beholder you can make it what you want i suppose. ultimately it comes down to personal commitments and choice. it being illegal is a HUGE downfall. but shit, Johnny law makes so much money on it being illegal that i can understand why it is. usual stoner mantra in this situation is “yeah mannnn, but if they made it legal and stuff they could tax it dude” fuck that. theres no way they could tax it and make up lost revenue for all the money they make on it being illegal… and those guys would be the first to bitch saying “The fuckin Man has to stiv\ck it to us by taxing it and now its soo expensive” besides all the jobs that would be lost ind the DEA and ATF plus everyother agency that deals with it.
thats just one example of a use other than being medicinal but serving a better pupose thant just getting stoned silly. appetite enhancement , relaxation, calming nerves. its all perspective.
