Why do you live WNY again?
IMO, architecture peaked at Art Deco (City Hall and the Central Terminal) and it’s gone downhill ever since.

Probably just to piss people like you and fadetoblack off?

Would any of the city of buffalo humpers
Explain where is a nice affordable middle class place to live? And lets roll with middle class for Buffalo not 250k+ houses.
Trust me, I totally appreciate it and im not dissing it at all. What I am saying is that a younger guy like Tom brady would much rather kick it in some upscale hotel with a nice bar.
The facts are this:
-
There is no real attraction in buffalo that requires a high scale hotel that will steadily have rooms full.
-
Tom brady or his fatherwas dont have any reason to come to stay in buffalo other than playing football/ watching football.
-
Tom brady most likely has no interest in staying at the mansion after what he said. He’s a smart guy and he wont put himself out there like that.
Just my. 02
I agree. There is some older awesome buildings like the water center that is built by hand and you can see all the rivets done by hand. I just think old houses are ugly.
I travel a lot to up and coming cities and they have all kinds of new developments. I just had this conversation this morning about how there is no nicer developments being built even in complexes in Buffalo that people who are young professionals buy in the upper 80s-120s.
Middle class in Buffalo is what, mid 30’s-40’s?
The only thing I miss about buffalo (aside from friends/family) is the pizza/subs, so glad we made the decision to move to Colorado.
Work. If my job was anywhere else I would move but I like my company I am with and it is here in Buffalo.
Did you know that you can apply for jobs in different states? Usually people do that when they hate where they live.
Just ask D.

Off hertel, between main and Delaware and between kenmore ave and linden.
A glut of 60-150k houses, many singles and a bunch of doubles if one so desires.
Also parts of south buffalo (between Abbott and McKinley) same thing, maybe a bit rougher around the edges
Most houses around hertel / colvin are in the 1-150k range last I checked
There are a handful under 120k, I was looking over in that area.
I live in the McKinley triangle. We hoped to have one of the real nice houses, but we could only wait so long. We could afford Amy of the great houses, but it is so rare that they go on sale.

What this has to do with Brady and Hotels I am not sure. But hey maybe I will get some new nighbors!
I think the sliver between Herel and the park between colvin and parkside is a super rad area. All over North Park and Park really.
Houses more west are pretty expensive right now but I see some rad deals in the Richmond area from time to time. But it comes down to the city lifestyle you desire. What might be a con for me is a pro for someone else.

Also can this be the last city vs. whatever thread for awhile? There has to be a more interesting debate topic that can come to light. Some people like city, some like burbs. Got it? Great!
South Buffalo  ugh fail
You’re showing your ignorance. McKinley is a beautiful area.
Also, you’re a fucking troll.

I grew up in south buffalo. That shit is def on the decline.
South buffalo is a lot like new jersey: people who live there love it and have pride in it, but it’s actually a god awful shit hole
So the point is this
I like the area where Drew just got a house however all of those houses are 250k+ and buying a 250k+ 100 year old house isn’t in the cards for 95% of this forum…then you still have send your kids to private school 4-15k a year.
Buffalo is not set up for middle class
I have nothing against the city or city living
My fear with south Buffalo, and other edges of the city would be house value falling over time…Take Sloan for example 30 years ago it was a nice place to live its been going down hill extremely quickly.
