I know we’ve talked about this before, but I’m 99% sure I’m going to get mine done and I want to know what to expect! Did it hurt? Did it swell? Did your breath stink?
I know my belly button hurt like hell and got all infected, and the girl I work with said that her tongue was no where NEAR as bad as her belly button… so if it’s not as bad, then I think I can handle it!

tongue rings are played out!!! i had mine done and taken it out like 5 years ago…
to your question though its different for everyone. for me i was fine eating the same day and whatever… i mean i hurt but i got through it. you can’t talk right for a week, your breath starts to stink cause you can’t really brush your tongue cause its so swollen, it will most likely get infected and puss, and then get used to carrying a listerine bottle. you got to rinse like ever half hour or you will get infected… and no drinking for a month well beer that is.
i had mine in for like 5 months and i just got sick of it, it was unprofessional and not comfortable. to think back it was dumb for all that pain and hassle then to take it out a few months later. but i was young and stupid oh well
belly button is suppose to hurt the least… then eyebrow (not bad) then tongue (not bad) just plan on eating jello until you can take the temp. of soup… but nothing solid for a couple days at least.
IMO not worth it… took mine out after 1 year, same with ears / eyebrow… (getting a real job > piercings on guys)
yeah took my ear piercings out as well… it was cool when you were young but not when you need to be professional
I think you should go with the 1% feeling on this. and I agree with the “outgrowing phase” of it.

eh it all depends on the type of profession. I work with people day in day out and its not an issue. Hell when I worked at Howard hanna one president of the department had tattos and two earrings. It just all depends.
PS- I’m not talking about guaging your ears to a two and it being all good. I’m saying simple stuff.

I’m not worried about being professional. Peter won’t care (I’ll just get a lecture about it) and Lone Star can’t do anything about it because probably 1/3 of the servers have their tongues pierced. I was going to get it done on a Saturday, that way I wouldn’t have to wait tables for 3 days.
I told you last night at BWW I think it’s stupid. But I didnt tell you why…
