touch-screen nav stereo system for 350z needed

I’m looking to get a touch-screen nav stereo system with bluetooth installed in my 350z. I would like the type that is built-in to the flip-up console area so it looks like stock.

I know there was a thread about this a while ago but I can’t find it. Somebody on here said they could do this for under $1000. Please contact me.
Thanks.

I may do it if I get enough interest. I can get a better deal on parts if I get more buyers. All of it will happen in the summer though.
The unit that you speak of does not have Bluetooth. The one with Bluetooth does not have GPS. It’s one or the other. I will look into it again.

Avic-D3 and you can get the bluetooth module. Only thing is that when you use the nav, you need to insert disks but the unit itself is pretty cheap still, its like $900 at futureshop or you can get it even cheaper on ebay

If you have money, you can get the pioneer avic z2. same thing but you dont need disks, it has a built in hard drive. Map detail is crazy!!! its so detailed! but again, if you have money ($2000) than go for it!

contact them, they might be able to help you.

carputer

You guys are missing the point. She clearly said she wants it to look stock.
So that means screens that come out of a player, or carputers that have a Keyboard out the centre console is just not an option.

carputers use the touchscreen or a mini wifi keyboards that would fit nicely in the door pockt.
the screen looks like factory nav until its turned on.
they can also have an alternate front end that starts up like any other windows app but looks just like the OE setups or AVIC’s or any of the other systems…

just like a deck …but where’s the wifi bluetooth navigation and 250GB ipod?

all for less than $1500 for a decent setup

I would recommend the Alpine IVA-W205. It has nav/ ipod/ bluetooth / satelite/ /dvd in a double DIN format. I have one in my JEEP and my 350z. It’s an excellent deck. Here’s a link to Alpine’s U.S web-site …http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/series-c.php?category=AV_HU… I haven’t had any problems with this deck.

^its moxy!

^another one of the guys you have molested from my350z.com?

lol, I’ve never met moxy350x. I have seen him on my350z.com/E/C

Lady-Z,
what did you end up with?

here’s 3 cars with the installs done all 350z’s and an infinity
no keyboard required but nice to have a mini in the door pocket just in case…

in the future the memory card hard drives will be big enough to do it all.
righ now windows xp can be cut down to 4 gig and booted off a Compact flash or sd drive.
then just use a laptop 160 gig for the rest of the required & wanted stuff

bluetooth wifi gps irda mp3’s video dvd and anything else you can do on a computer, in your car,
on an
8" touchscreen, with pro logic surround sound, internet etc etc etc

Those CarPCs are REALLY clean on the 350z. I was planning on doing something like that but wouldnt have looked as good as that!

Its actually SSD (Solid State Drive), which is a ram drive, not a HDD.
A slew of other companies will be releasing these new generation drives mid summer. But as stated earlier, these will be “bloody expensive”.

LoL! ya its hard to justify… but you will def be balla with the new hotness…:stuck_out_tongue:

whered she go , im curious as to what she wants

they have kits for a sweet install in lots of cars, and most of the screens will go in behind a double din faceplate adapter

also the laptop drives seem to do just fine for now…
besides, the 4 gb reduced windows xp will fit on a ram drive thats about $30-50 now and boots in like 10 seconds

Lady-Z and I have been speaking over PM. I mentioned that I will not be doing any installs until the spring/summer time. She is okay with that as she is not in a rush, and seems to be interested in the group buy I may be holding in a couple months for these units.

Pioneer AVIC D3, buddy of mine has one in his B6 Audi A4 and it looks completely stock, you can change the colors of the deck to match your interior. Carputer with a touch screen is also nice, that same guys brother has one in his mach 1 and it runs through a touch screen so no keyboard and just a lcd monitor. eek sorry kinda late, good luck with your set up anyways!

WOW this is exactly what i was envisioning…
