I will have to see if any of these suggestions will sell me what I need. I cant justify paying someone else to do this, as its not like i would be wrapping the whole car-- just strips of vinyl on the roof. Ill do some more searching.

Picked up some frog arms today (fender braces for non-miata guys). These actually do something on miatas since the chassis is made out of wet noodles.

Do the hard top in custom plaid vinyl!!

Black, silver and purple vinyl would look sweet lol.

The guy I told you to go to will take care of you. He will sell you strips or w.e you need. Just tell him Gennaro sent you. I can PM you his cell if you’re interested.

Sweet. I will get in touch with him once I get the top painted. Black it is. I am working with some friends to make some funny/high quality short videos this summer at the track-- lets just say there will be other funny vinyl pieces on the car.

Plaid does sound like it would be cool, but I dont think it would look good on purple. Ill do the rainbow for now and see how it looks-- maybe get someone to photoshop plaid on the top.

I was thinking of getting the same wheels for my s2000 but in 17x9 +63 (s2k fitment, just rambling on lol) but i wasn’t sure how they would look in person. Hopefully i get to see this around sometime

I have the same wheels as minglor so if you see (or should I say hear…) his car, mine will look the same (mine are black, his are i think a dark grey?). They are a bit heavier than the 949 version (1.8lbs per corner) but a bit cheaper as well. 949 has a 17" version, which i think will fit your car. They are really good wheels for the price.

Wait you have 949 wheels too? I thought you had TR’s

No both minglor and I have tr’s. 949’s are better, thats why i posted them-- just as a possible alternative. My second set will be 949’s.

I loved my 949 6UL’s when I ran them.

I love them now

Better? Meh.
Lighter? Yes.

I don’t really like the look of the TRs.

Comparison between OEM and Koyo 55 radiator.

Seat mounts need to be fabbed up still. These are surprisingly comfortable for what they are and for the price. I would rock this over a corbeau any day.

Self explanatory.

I forgot to take a picture, but I got a prosport halo water temp gauge. Seems to be excellent build quality-- have it “soft” mounted for now until I determine that it is really where I want it. Replaced the clutch slave cyl and installed the cat delete that I had fabbed up.

Today’s plans include new pads, rotors, SS lines and full flush with rbf-600. Need to fab up seat mounts, get the hard top sanded and ready for paint this weekend, and modify the radiator fan shroud to clear the swaybar since they both occupy the same space. After that it should be ready to drive on the street.

Just for my reference for what i need -
nysi
alignment/corner balance(new eccentrics if budget allows)
Front hubs
install lower balljoints and tierod ends
install right rear wheel bearing
return wrong rear rotors
paint cage
finish welding tunnel notch
mount/modify rad fans
new shift boot
gap and install plugs
pyrometer (research)
data acquisition
coolant temp gauge (wire it in)
steering wheel/hub/QR

I have a NRG quick release for sale. PM me if you want it.

FWIW, both trans and diff have very fresh Redline in them.

Good to know! Thats what I had planned to put in them. I didnt even think to look through the service records.

Frog Arms.

Old vs. New

Coils are all in. DTC-60’s all around. New rotors. Stainless lines.

Looking good.
I did pad and rotors today.
Going to have to rebleed mine - still not thrilled with how the pedal feels.
