Tranny Problem on my Altima?

So I was driving home through this shitty weather tonight and I noticed that my clutch was half-pressed. As in it didn’t feel like I had to push it far before it was on the floor. As I kept driving, I started having a harder time shifting and getting the car into gear until finally I stopped at a light and couldn’t get back into first despite pressing the clutch. Forcing me to place my foot underneath the clutch pedal and pull it back up.

Is this a known problem with the 06 Altima SE-R? Or is it just a freak incident?

There have been a number of clutch problems reported on the Alty SE-R (none for me so far on my '05, touch wood). If u want to read more about it, go to Nissanforums.com and Nissanclub.com and check out the Altima SER forums. I think there were a few guys trying to get a lawsuit going over clutch problems, but don’t think anything came out of it.
