I was wondering how difficult it is to swap a manal tranny into an auto 95 240? How much am I looking at for the tranny, clutch, labor and anything else I would need to do. Any other information about this would be great.
Thanks
Derek

List of things you will need (brackets are what I ended up paying when I did mine)
KA 5spd tranny (350 with a 97 engine)
Clutch (300 for my Centerforce 2)
Flywheel (got mine with engine)
S14 5spd brake pedal and clutch pedal (20 for the brake pedal and 50 for the clutch)
Slave Cyl(35 new)
Master Cyl(120 new nissan)
Clutch Lines(free)
S14 5spd Driveshaft (200 was the last one around the junk yards at the time)
Shifter Garnish (60 new)
S14 Zenki 5spd ECU (free)
Total = $1135
S14 5spd is not really the cheapest thing in the world hard parts to find are the pedals and the driveshaft.
S14 5spd s
also, you can use the S13 or S14 tranny (they are practically the same). But make sure you get an S14 5spd. speed sensor. The S13 doesn’t work (it shows twice the speed you are actually going and counts twice the km’s)… the Auto speed sensor is too big to fit in the manual tranny… so, you can either find one at a junkyard or go to Nissan and buy a new one which is $170.
and of course you’ll need all the stuff that S14_240sx mentioned.
I can list all the things I had to buy as well (plus the prices) if you want.
Alright, thanks, that helps a lot
