Not in my experience… In fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen a trooper doing anything except pulling over soccer moms for going 11 over on a highway around here
They’re the only responsible ones that net revenue. Dirt bags, and low lifes don’t show, and warrants with no pay-off cost money. It’s not about safety, it’s about making money.
Try and put the license plate frame hanging by one screw, and say it was on there this morning? I don’t know why ny requires both plates but pa doesn’t…
Because we’re in NY and not PA, plenty of Amish in PA that would be pleased to make your acquaintance and I’m sure they can use some fresh DNA in the gene pool.
There has to be a specific reason that we need a front plate, they pull us over from the behind right? Do they ever look at the front of the car? When they pull you over?
I never really thought of that. It may explain why I never get pulled over while driving old beaters when I really should, with the exception of some rural areas where they fit right in. I’m glad they think I’m poor!
In South Buffalo two years ago a cop passed me going the opposite direction, turned around and pulled me over for no front plate. Plead my case about my Miata overheating (which was true because of new turbo, old radiator etc) but still got a ticket.

as for safety of being pulled over on the thruway…when i was pulled over by a trooper on the 190 and he said i knew my tints were illegal because i rolled down both windows and didnt want to get a ticket for them…i said no i put the passanger side down because i thought you would go to that side since were on the inside of a curve and people are too dumb to think to move over…because most of them werent moving over…im thinking i got my speeding ticket because he was pissed that i pointed out he wasnt using common sense…actually no, just for the $$$. lol.
Definitely just for the money. It’s easy easy money.
Keep it under 10 over on the highway, put your front fucking plate on, dont get fucking tinted windows.
