Im pretty sure they can tell by your VIN if it was original vert, it wouldnt work in court…
The crown I doubt will be a expert of deciphering nissan vin numbers>
You also assured us roll cages are illegal.
Like was mentioned earlier an ass of a cop might just call a Nissan Dealer and do a lil research lol
Yeah. I can see it now. You’re before the crown. Next thing you hear; “Ah fuck it, I can’t decipher this VIN. You’re free to go”
No. If you’re before the crown due to an issue with your VIN, they will have someone there to decipher it for them.[COLOR=“Silver”]
double post… Y U DOUBLE POST FORUM!?
I think it would be unique and cool. Buy a beater and do it and do some trial driving for a month or 2. If no harassment. Do it to thegood car. And be the badass with an s13 truck. You won’t know unless you try. We all have our views. And each and every officer has their view on what they believe is too low, too loud, too dangerous. Soat the end of the day its up to you if you take the chance or not. But fuck driving a low car with a muffler and negative camber on some crazy fitment is liable to get you a ticket anyways. But I’m +1 on the truck idea. Would be cool to see.
The thing is you can fit just as much in the back of a hatch anyways… And if you cant close it, grab some bungee cords…
thanks for the responses… it helped me to make the decision… and i have a sr’d beater ready to go i paid fuck all for, didnt feel like building just another hatch…
coupe or vert!! or buy a old nissan truck and drop the SR in it!!!
240 truck = gay
^ x 2 , however those pics posted make them look alot better than I thought, but then again those were done professionally and not by some backyard welder/mechanic
It would take a lot of good work to make it look not hillbilly
But seriously, if you want a truck buy a truck, don’t fucking turn a 240 into one especially since one of your reasons is to have the extra trunk/bed space , lol
But If your set on going that route do it right and get all welding done professionally cuz if I saw a hillbilly 240 on the road and was a cop id just issue a summons for a safety , then you’d be fucked… Let alone the countless fines mto would give out if they saw it
^ i already own a truck, im doing this as a track truck, something capable of hauling tires down, while looking badass…
I may live in keswick, but i do shit proper… i have a prof welder for a best friend, and am more then capable of doing all the fab work neccessary… I told myself i would never buy another 240, but came accross this steal of a deal, and flipping it seems like a waste, because the more money i put into my sil, the more i want a missile on the side… Im bored of seeing cookie cutter s13s
The problem with the S-chassis truck is that proper and well executed examples are few and far between. The rest are shitty ass hack-jobs, and that perpetrates the stigma that s-chassis trucks suck.
If you’re going to do it; do it right and don’t make it look like it was hacked together by someone who couldn’t fabricate their way out of a wet paper bag.
Truth +1
Hackjob;

they are usually so ugly should not be legal to drive on da streetz
^ worst post
2nd worst post…
I wanna see a removal hardtop be built, or a targa top
There was a vert on zilvia a while back and the guy had removed everything for the soft top, cut the rooF off a coupe and made it removable, the car had potential but it was a hackjob so looked like shit
Now thats a sick idea!!! I second that!!
Half roll cages are legal. (From side to side in the rear) roll cages that come from the back of the car to the front are illegal. Tube chassis are illegal. U can have it as it is making the body rigid, not making it more “structurely sound”.
^errrr i dono if that worded right??
a FULL roll cage is LEGAL…
Illegal:
1.roll cages exceeding the cabin area (ie engine bay)
2.Any roll cage (parts of the cage) blocking the view in the front or side front windows…
3.A cage that changes the way you enter or exist the vehicle (cant have to climb through ur windows…) must be able to open door to get in…
4.stop the operation of your windows.
Source:
Ive ran with a full cage… and been pulled over enough times to know the rule on this one.
and have read the HTA enough times to be able to …without seeing the words “roll cage” to learn how to determine whether a roll cage is deemed as making a vehicle “unsafe”
So lets stick to the truck debate!
