I now firmly, unironically believe that if Trump loses this election then we’ve lost western civilization, and the thought of that is really starting to weigh down on me.
I come online to places like this and read bombshell after bombshell: political offices being blown up, riots being staged, wars being engineered, whistle-blowers being killed, elected officials being funded by foreign governments, said governments also be found complicit in fucking 9/11…and then I go check my Facebook, or really talk to people at work, or talk to people at the bar, or turn on the news, and their not talking about a single one of these issues. They’re talking about Trump allegedly pinching a woman’s ass 45 years ago. (And come to find out, sure as shit, that woman works for the Clinton Foundation).
Nobody cares about any of this shit. It’s brainwashing beyond even the most terrifying visions of dystopian literature. It’s far worse than even North Korea and Stalinist Russia, because those people never had the ability to pull a phone from their pocket and instantly be spoon feed the actual truth. The information is out there and people, COMMON PEOPLE, are actively participating in silencing the truth.

If brexit voting used something like our electoral college process it never would have had a chance. If you look at the popular vote, Trump is in the race; but that doesn’t matter in the end.

Yes, I honestly do. Climate change is going to happen regardless of who’s in office so I honestly don’t care. We could cut our CO output by 50% tomorrow, a totally unrealistic goal, and the growth in China and India would offset in no time. The real reason US politicians are pushing carbon output is carbon taxes are a huge new potential revenue stream.
The biggest problems for our economy IMO are trade imbalance and that all our politicians are bought and paid for by special interests. I do believe Trump will push us in the right direction in both of those cases. Sure he isn’t an experienced politician and there would be some bumps along the way, but the US isn’t a monarchy so these predictions from the left of how he would single handedly ruin the country are scare tactic nonsense. It’s the same nonsense the right uses when they talk about Obama. He tried the monarch thing with executive action and time after time he’s been shot down by the courts. The great thing about our 3 branch government is you can elect egomaniacs like Obama or Trump and no matter how much they pout and cry about congress not doing what they want so they’re going it alone, they really can’t.
I’m for more afraid of someone like Clinton, who is a master at manipulating the system, being put in power after being bought and paid for by wall street and foreign governments than someone inexperienced.
The republican party needs to modernize themselves and provide REAL solutions. If your entire plan is just to cut taxes and alienate people that are “different” than you, then you’re GOING to sink. That’s what I see happening to my party, and that’s what pushes me to stop identifying and agreeing with the policies that they are putting in place. The republican platform CAN solve problems, but we need moderation. We can’t continue to legislate in extremes, which is what the current congress wants.
I’m not a fan of democrats, but at least they see a problem and TRY to fix it in some way. Even if that fix is stupid and short-sighted, at least someone is trying.

The republican party needs to adopt more libertarian ideals. Smaller government, little focus on religion other than, “the government doesn’t care about religion because it’s supposed to be small and as uninvolved in your daily life as possible”.
