Health care has been sky rocketing for decades. Obamacare has slowed the rocket to more of a plane takeoff.
Eh, a decade ago a handful of republicans include Newt wanted universal healthcare as well. Hell, Romney installed it in his own state.
I’m not Pro-Obama - I’m just not anti-Obama. The past 8 years have been the best and most lucrative years of my life.
I don’t hate Obama, never said I did. I am taxed slightly more since he’s been in office. Might just be the way it goes, or it might have to do with him. I’m not sure. I have some stupid 1095-C form when I do my taxes now, which wasn’t there a few years ago. I took a stock hit in 2008, but ya know, it was all Bush’s fault. I only see what I see on TV (which I don’t watch a lot of), and follow stuff on social media (which I research into). A few common themes come to mind…
He’s always in the news when a black person is shot by a white cop, and he’s NEVER in the news when it’s the other way around.
He’s always at the forefront when some mental whackjob shoots someone, talking about how guns are bad, but never in the news when a goodguy with a gun takes out a bad guy (which happens quite frequently).
He’s so apologetic, that it bugs me. Watching our Navy sailors being detained with their hands on their head a few months ago was tough to watch. Syrian refugee’s? GTFO. They lived 100 miles away from 25 other countries yet somehow we need to bring them 1000’s of miles over here? WTF is the reasoning for that? I don’t hate him, I just question some of the things he does.
Depends on their overall ROI. I wouldn’t care at all if my investment was overall cranking out a huge return. #ihavenosoul
But I agree to the sentiment. I am not pro Trump. Just wanted to establish his use of the bankruptcy to shield assets/wealth from some poorly ran businesses. But this is not really a unique to Trump move. If more Presidential candidates in the future come out of the business world it will be a talking point in the future. I feel similar about how Carly Fiorina was grilled over job cuts. Many great CEOs have had to implement job cuts at times. Not saying she was good or bad its just a part of business.
A lot of your problems that he tackles head on such as: “white cop shooting a black person” is to try and suppress it before it becomes a bigger issue. For example, Ferguson, Trayvon, Freddie Grey, etc. Typically the reverse (black on white violence) doesn’t cause the same outrage/uproar from the victim’s race.
Again, the guy shooting up a theater or a school deserves some special attention. Clinton did it with Columbine and Waco. A good guy shooting a bad guy isn’t news. People don’t need to have their nerves calmed because some guy with a CCW took out a whackjob in Montana.- AMERICA.
What exactly does he suppress when he sides with the law breaker? He makes it out to be a hate fueled shooting when it’s not. It does nothing except fuel racism. Law breakers are law breakers regardless of their skin.
A good guy shooting a bad guy is news. It’s good news. It’s news that I’d like to hear daily. I don’t like to hear doom and gloom 24/7.
Doom and Gloom sells. Nobody cares about good news. You might, but 95% of American doesn’t.
I’d like to see where you get that percentage from. I’m sure doom and gloom gets ratings but saying 95% of the people don’t like to hear it, is quite a stretch.
Good guys should shoot all the bad guys. Im also in the majority of people that think the news is a waste and filled with negative crap that I dont care to hear or watch.
whats also interesting is the people that support trump, like myself, are my friends and people i have met through out the car community. The ones that dont support him are people I dont like or never bothered meeting.
I think is the problem with the way most people vote. They will base their vote simply on who will help them make more money/get more stuff during the precidency. This goes for both Dems and Republicans. The reality is unless you are a corp/business personal sucess has nothing to do with who is in office.
If everytime someone went to vote and they looked at the big picture we would be better off as country. What I mean by that is instead of looking for a tax break on your personal income, think about how the policies and general way of thinking will affect quality domestic businesses and the way of life Americans have known for the past 100 years. Plus the term morals literally mean nothing to anyone in office anymore.
some good points here.
Which has what to do with Obama or anyone being president? lol
Did anyone see Mike Huckabee say we should be thankful for Trump’s peaceful revolution? If they force Trump out it could get interesting. The NASCARan Americans may get restless.
A few things:
- People give the office of the presidency too much credit for pos/neg events that happen in the country or even their personal lives.
- People also put too much faith in presidents to accomplish the specific goals they set.
- Presidential campaigns ARE marketing campaigns. (Hope & Change, Obama Logo, Make America Great Again, TrusTED, “Twenty Seven Dollas!”, etc)
- 90% of those out there commenting on Trump have never read The Art of the Deal.
- Everything Trump says & does is positioning so that he’ll have the strongest hand when it comes to a negotiation. You’d understand this if you had read TAOTD.
- Centipedes are nimble navigators.
- If you’re seriously worried about Trump as president or any president for that matter, step back, take a breath, and remember that our system of government is setup in such a way that no one man can become an emperor.
Also the best media clip I’ve seen this election cycle:
I just learned something new today, sucks to be a tarantula.
That media clip rocked! Looks like they played the wrong clip from the turnout lol.
That’s my point. Regardless of who is president, it doesn’t make a difference to me or the vast majority of the country. All I ever hear is how horrible Obama is. I don’t have anything bad to say about him and I highly doubt any of our lives would be different if Mitt won 4 years ago.

Meh, I don’t rely on anyone but myself to “get” anything. I don’t qualify for tax breaks. I don’t believe anyone who is in the position to win a presidency (now or 100 years ago) has “morals”. Nobody can get to the highest position of power in this country without skinning a few cats and pissing certain people off. What I think is “moral” you might not.
I am pretty fiscally right wing and socially left wing (ie: not a fan of government programs but have no problem w/ gay marriage/abortion/etc). I think Trump is hot headed but would vote for him solely because I own a business and I would save hundreds of thousands of dollars annually under his tax structure compared to the left wing.
Basically, what I’m saying is this: vote Trump and I’ll let you take the McLaren around the block once I stop paying out the ass in taxes.
Josh you are looking at it wrong…
