either way, it is very subjective to which motor is better. There is no doubt that both engines that make great power and are freaks. I think we are just both a little biased.
my cam was less then $300. My valves spring kit was $300 and my ported oil pump and LS2 timing chain wasnt a Must have, but a more of a liability so they were extra expenses that werent needed.
my car is a perfect example of that 400whp Margin for $500…FYI, Texas-Speed advertises a Minimum of 55rwhp Gain with my cam on stock heads…I went from 351rwhp to 412rwhp from a cam swap…I’d say that 55+ rwhp goal was met.
I have the tuning software, I have the knowledge to do the cam swap, just not the tools…so the extra cost for the install and dyno tune dont count.
needless to say im not taking anything away from the 2JZ so dont think I am. They are a BAD ASS engine and Both the 2JZ and LSx family’s have their strong points.
