Are there any shops in Edmonton that are familiar with SAFC2’s that can do a proper tune? Looking into getting boosted soon.
You should just sell your spec and buy mine. it is now officially for sale I put the add in the Auto Trader Yesterday, and posted on the VBoard Classifieds
And no there is no shop in Edmonton that I would recommend, but I do recommend RCTS Research and Development in Calgary Reg is the shit, he is probably one of the most knowledgeable guy I have met about cars. www.monsterhorsepower.com
I second that.
I’m actually leaning towards the Supercharger since I don’t have a clue on how to maintain a turbo. Good Luck on the sale.
What is the driving time to Calgary from Edmonton?
At my speed, or at the speed limit 8) . It should be around a 2.5 hour drive.
1.5 hours. But that’s just my time.
Also, if you think that maintaining a SC is going to be a walk in the park vs. a turbo you might need to do more research. They are different forms of forced induction, but in the end they are both boost and maintaining a boosted car is more than just maintenance on the type of snail that boosts it.

Plus look at where everything on the S/C kit is situated, have fun with all of that 8). Personally I would go Turbo, look at how many guys are running Turbo kits without any issues, and Revo. auto. has taken over a year to even get the 8psi pulley out, personally I would pick a Turbo over S/C. And no I’m not just saying that cause I looked at a lot of things when deciding what for of boost I should go with. I believe there is even a thread somewhere on here with a lot of discussion on it.

From what I’ve read, a S/C is a little safer due to boost being applied only when you hit the gas. Plus, I have broken 120k on the engine so I’m a little hesitant on going with too much boost, but the engine still runs strong. I might go with just some pistons/rods, but I have not researched into how much that will run with installation, but I’m guessing some big $$$$. There is also the VQ swap… :loco:
