Is it really owrth it to tune your engine and ecu to deal with the octane differences between ablerta and japan. I’ve heard theres a few places around town where you can get 94 octane but is it really practical to have eveything tuned to our octane levels?
Any modded car should be tuned, but until you start cranking up the boost and modding, there is really no point in tuning a stock car just for octane differences. Obviously though when you start to tune a modded car and you look at egt, A/F ratio, timing, etc, adjustments you do to those to keep your car in the “green area” will automatically provide a safe tune no matter what octane your running. And of course, always run premium.
94 just incase …it isnt that much more than 91 if any …
but on any turbo car putting 87/88 octane gas in there is just abuse
There’s no 94 in lethbridge though, is there?
No there isnt, there is 92 at the huskey on mayor magrath north but from what i have seen, my car seems to run a lot better on petro can 91, and i have also heard a lot of other people say that petro gas is quite good.
