Turbob16's Turbo Del Sol

Seriously just buy my car put 5K into it and run 9s all day. It is going to take 700hp to runs 9 in a FWD car where you can do it easily with 575 in a RWD.

650 is enough for 9s and again I’d rather run 9s in the del sol than anything else, besides 2 show cars I was the only del sol racing , I have a great platform as is a little more power set the suspesion up a liltte better and it should be possible

after you spend a fortune and break a ton of more parts, youll soon realize what everyone has been saying. good luck on your quest but its going to be the roughest road you go down

I already blew up 2 motors and a transmission in this car I’m well aware of what it takes to go fast, rwd is not the solution , it’s the easy button, fwd is what I have fwd is what I’ll build fwd is what I’ll go 9s in, I may be young but I have built and broke more cars than I can count, I know the nature of the sport and If I thought for a second hey I don’t think I can do this/ afford this, …well no I’d still do it. I see your point quick but we all have our own builds this is mine.

I would love to see a Sol in the 9’s… you dont see too many of them on the track, let alone a super fast one!

Good luck with teh build. Mimic joes’ build and it will do high 9’s. ran into another drag civic at MIR who was running a 67mm turbo and was in the 9’s. Seems like 64-67mm is where you want to be and it will rip on good gas. not sure what you can get out of it with pump gas/meth injection. Joe was running E85 and the guy i talked to was on C16 I think

I have a 64mm I believe( need to check) and this year I was on 110 octane, like before on the small tires and 15psi it trapped 132mph, the car on high boost def had mid 10s aroud 140-145 traps this year just the head issue, the turbo I have is the exact same as joes except he’s t4 xl I’m s366 extended tip .70ar hotside, which the turbo will be good to whatever I can throw at it, time will tell what happens all I know is the car was fast as balls before the head started lifting, can’t wait to see what it’s like with a little more power and sticking together

My turbo is the T4 .83 ar its not the XL (1.23)

If I were going to build a rwd car it would either be my m3 , or I’d buy an e46 m3 and horsepower freaks stage 2.5 turbo kit, however since I won’t be buying an e46 anytime soon or have like 30k laying around for that kit, I’ll just keep day dreaming about it and enjoy my Honda

i have seen multiple cars make 700-800whp with our turbos jason which is deep to mid nines territory for our heavy pigs

No joke…jenky??? I have never trapped at 152 like Joe but i have no problems getting stopped using the e brake and the pedal combo and my traps are around 140… untill i get my bugs worked out then 150 here i come :slight_smile:

I’m finding with 9’s you need alot of safety crap that makes it hard to call the car a street car. Cant really enjoy the car at the track without all the safety stuff. You’ll need full cage, window net, flexplate/flywheel sheilds, and chute as you may trap 150 to get into the 9’s. I dont really want any of that on my street car but if the track dont let you run without it, its pointless to have the car. If your building a drag car then wont be all that bad

I just need to make a halo and dash bars, I have scatter shield, I’d need more
fore saftey equiptment and a chute, idk well see when the cars done how it performs. But mainly I’m going for a track only car, tho it is fun to have 500+ hp on the street the car is just so useless under 60mph and
still spinning till over a 100mph I’ll still probably take it out every now and then but main goal right now is track only
