Problem is, I already have a TV that size and my console is set up for a 60 inch.
So, they said I can pay the difference between whatever tv that is listed on american TV’s website. (the credit will be around 1,000) that being said, I dont want to spend a bunch more unless you can give me a credible and legit reason to pay for a 2k tv.
Id like to stick with Sharp, Sony, LG, or Samsung (everything I own is Samsung or LG it seems) I obviously want it to have built in WiFi, but other than that, I have no clue what else I want.
That pn60f5500 seems pretty decent for 200 bucks with your credit. Active 3D and 2 pairs of glasses included.
Plasma
Pros: excellent contrast and black levels; effortless motion; good picture depth
Cons: not as power-efficient or thin as most LCDs; generates more heat than LCDs (heat is not bad with the new ones, back in the day my old samsung would make my bedroom 80 degrees)
LCD with fluorescent backlight
Pros: panels weigh less than plasma and use less energy
Cons: picture slightly less natural and “filmlike” than plasmas
LCD with LED backlight
Pros: panels use the least energy and weigh less than plasma; models with local dimming capability can have black levels rivaling plasmas
Cons: picture slightly less natural and “filmlike” than plasmas
Basically the only drawback to plasma is that it isn’t a super bright display. I have the VT55 in my living room with no issues whatsoever. Plasmas have the fastest refresh rate of 600hz.
