Lookin’ pretty sick
update:
Shooting for it to be driving by April 1st.
man, that looks gnarly!
MOTHER OF GOD!!!
I just came…
Nice!
Looks bad ass.
And expensive as shit.
I bet you still live with your parents.
Can you ever give a compliment without it being backhanded?
Looks great Jim!
What shop are you bringing it to for a tune this year?
If he had done his own work, I would have given a sincere compliment.
“nice job spending money”
Whoever built the kit I give props to, though.
The guy did do a nice job. As much as I like building this stuff, I also wouldn’t mind doing what Jim did and be able to receive a nice finished product to “slap on” as well. Either way it will be fun!
I can almost guarantee that you could buy all the tools and material for what I bet that cost, and then at the end you’d have tools and some self satisfaction… But I guess you can’t buy skill.
Thanks!
Wasn’t bad at all.
I own my house. (not sure why you always bring this up/why it is any of your business?)
You are wrong. Couldn’t buy a TIG welder for what I’m paying for this. Did it myself for the most part last time, this time around I’ll let someone else put up with the headaches.
Honest question: Why do you always have something negative to say?
Because cars aren’t cool anymore.
Current things that are cool :
-slack lining
-sky diving
-trolling car forums to call people poor/shit talk
-Old harleys and bobbers (bonus points if you get a cool jacket/helmet)
I took it as a joke… :gotme:
Less banter more awesomeness. It looks awesome!
April 1st you say? That would be cool. What’s left on the “to do” list?
Glad you had him do the cold side as well.
Still in this neighborhood, give or take? The fab work is excellent
Joke or not what i own, how much i make, how much money I have or how much i spend on something is my business. I hope we can just leave it at that.
Hmmm the to do list…
Finish mounting radiator - I modified the front support in such a way where I can tuck the radiator under it and only have the fill cap exposed. Just need to finish the brackets.
Drill and tap the block for the alternator - i want to mount it low and in the factory position, i think it looks butt ugly where it is mounted now (up top on passenger side)
Make another drain port on my pan - this is pretty straight forward
Make all the drain and feed lines
Put on the kit and button everything up!
I lucked out in that i “overbuilt” last time. My fuel system, motor, transmission etc are all up to the task. Hopefully i don’t run into any huge road blocks.
Me too, he did it for cost of materials pretty much. I fabbed my own cold side last time around with my non-existant skill and it was a PITA.
If i can hit 800 wheel, I will be happy for now.
A few more pics i got this morning…
I love those two bottom elbows coming off of the driver’s side BOV. I don’t know why. It looks so cleanly done.
