UGG GOD DAMIT!!

I can crank my SR all I want all day. but she just wont start. Compression is good, fuel has just got gas conditioner dumped in. And there seems to be no spark. I dont know why. I have several plugs unplugged.I keep looking back at the heavy throttle instructions. I think I could be missing something to do with spark plugs. (note the whole they dont spark deal) I know nothing about electronic igintion. The coil pack just runs to the harness and is controlled by the ECU? Do I need the power steering sensor to use power steering? And is the cam angle sensor really nessacary? Whats it do? (man I feel like dick comming here and just questioning everything, But you guys are by far the most knowagable people I’ve found. Thanks for helping me out so much)

Yes you must have a cam angle sensor plugged in and working to get spark

You need this plugged in to start at the least
Cam angle sensor
Injectors
Ignitor
The 2 plugs by the battery
The 3 plugs under the passenger fuse box.
Starter
ECU
MAF
Coilpacks

there are more plugs that should be plugged in as well
Speed sensor
CTS
TSU
Knock sensor
AICV

The two plugs you are probably not using (which you don’t have to use) are the P/S and AC plugs.

I probably forgot some but hope this helps

You need this plugged in to start at the least
Cam angle sensor(done, but it appears damaged…I’ll send it back for a new one monday)
Injectors(done)
Ignitor(ahh, seems to be missing
The 2 plugs by the battery(done)
The 3 plugs under the passenger fuse box.(done)
Starter(done)
ECU(done)
MAF(done)
Coilpacks(done)

Speed sensor(done)
CTS(not even sure what it is same with the bottom two. Care to tell me what they do, and where they are?)
TSU
Knock sensor

Take off two of the spark plug wires at the coil pack and see if the jump the gap. If it does it’s your wires. If it doesn’t gap you can go through each coil and test it with an ohmmeter or multi meteron the ohms setting. To do this you take the ohm or multimete and put one of the leads on the positive terminal and one on the negative terminal (positive to positive negative to negative) the reading on the ohm/multi meter should read about 1-2 ohms that will test the primary winding in the coil. The next thing you test is the secondary winding to do this you go from the main terminal that the sparkplug wire connects to to the negative terminal this should give you about 7000-13000 ohms, if it reads infinity then your coil is toast. Hope that helps a little.

Does an ignitor from a infinty q45 1995 work? Is the oil pressure sensor nessacary? I know im taking a chance by not using it… and none of my plugs on my lower harness seem to line up.are any of them really nessacary?. im getting no fuel? any ideas for that? I’ve looked over the wiring time and time agian…and the only thing that doesnt make sence is the plugs all over the place that plug into nothing.

Pretty sure it doesn’t.

Late model Suzuki Sidekick part # 33370-77E20 is the exact same part.

The ignitor will work but you need bothsides of the harness and splice it in correctly

and the oil pressure sensor? is that really needed? none of my lower harness wires line up :frowning:

The only thing you need on the lower harness is the 4 plugs by the fuse box and the starter and alternator plugged in
