now i gota wait for the right downpipe.

damn that sucks…hopefully that is the only hiccup that you’ll have
thats not a big deal, so ittl be a bit loud. lol.
sucks when things dont work together like they should.
aw man, that sucks adam
what’re you gonna do, send it back to them, or have hybrid play with it?
sending it back, i dident spend that much amount of cash for it not to fit the right way.
I hope that you get it before x-mas.
that blows. tell them fawkers to hurry up summer is flyin on by
word… good luck getting it back in time, bro… wanna see this thing in motion
ouch that sucks
id ask them to reimburse you the amount it would cost to have hybrid do it, that way it would be done in a few days
especialy if you can easily seperate the mani / turbo / downpipe from the car so lee can bench it instead of doing it on the car
looks like the easiest way to fix it would be to cut the pipe off the mani, grind it and reweld it
BFH … make it work
Look forward to seeing it all done.
Stop in and Lee will have that taken care of post-haste…
Then you can send those idiots the bill.
bah, u could heat that up and push that down in a couple of minutes
or you could heat it up, bash it down, and crack the cast manifold in the process
scribe the flange and have the angle cut into it. it will fit perfect and will have a perfect seal
^^^
that doesnt take care of the bolt hoile offset
that makes the flange weaker on one side
thats a hack way to fix something on a $5000 turbo kit on a lexus
what size is the flange?
if its 1/2" thick and you shave off 1/8" you still have 3/8" to work with.
but judging by the 2nd pic it looks pretty tight on the lower bend so it could be a bad pipe or something is not installed right so go over everything that is installed and see what went wrong 2nd thing you could do is disconnect the pipe and install to the manifold first and see how it looks from down below.
good luck.
Tough one…
Considering the time it took you to get your parts in the first place, I wouldn’t send it back.
Hybrid Fix FTW.
