they said it should fit fine , if you just play around w/ it/ by bolting on the flange first to the waste gate and mess around w/ the v-band clamp. and i quote the IS boards
no you are not missing anything. Every PFS kit i have installed (about 5 of them) have that same exact fitment issue. Not as bad as yours, but there is a definete issue on fitment. Its not perfectly flush. But if you play around, you should be able to create a seal.
I had this same issue when I first got my kit way back in 03’. What Peter told me to do was to make sure I hooked up the whole exhaust system and everything, and the pipe would rotate into position. Leave the V-band tightening for last.
I did, and sure enough it lined up perfectly. I’ve helped about 10 people with this issue, and they all lined up just fine once the complete exhaust was hooked up.
If you have everything installed, loosen the v-band and rotate the pipe if possible and see if you can get it closer.

Kane’s idea has worked for some of the PFS kits i have installed. Some had ok fitment, some had rather poor fitment like the one pictured above. With the way yours looks, you will have a major leak one way or another. Either from the Vband or from your wastegate.
I simply suggest getting that portion of the pipe redone and extended for better fitment. It wont cost ya much.
so im gonna have to look into this.
