Examples?
I wasn’t referring to people who did a few times a month or whatever during college.
You could at least toss out Steve Jobs?

Oh like “famous” successful? That, I don’t know. I guess it depends on your defintion of successful…
you guys are gettin way too serious, i think you need to take a trip to CO
Bill Clinton
George Bush (jr)
Condoleezza Rice
Most “business successful” people don’t advertise it because of the “taboo” surrounding it. Get them on a golf course drinking and they’ll puff on a dubie like nothing… done this with a couple high-level people of WNY companies.
I wasn’t talking about smoking some weed at a party every now and then.
If any politician/fortune 100/etc did it more then the random occasion people would be coming out of the wood work thanks to the internet.
Here you go
Take away messages from this thread…
1.) There are no downsides to legalizing MJ
2.) Smart, successful people do MJ (typical)
2a.) Could have done better in college had I smoked MJ
2b.) Pot heads would have failed out of college without weed
2a and 2b are false; those are both related to personal responsibility and personality; not weed.
Dude this was supposed to be a lighthearted thread.
HIPSTERS!
On the original topic im for legalizing it…
I just think people need to show self control and now with the internet all those pics/status updates/tweets about you smoking lbs of pot things will come back to haunt you.
I dont smoke :gotme:
I just think the humor is everywhere around this.
fun fact: Peyton Manning bought 21 Papa Johns in Denver a week before weed is legalized. Superb timing.
Brilliant.
This is no different a mentality than someone who posts tons of photos of themselves smashed downtown, playing drinking games, etc. [sarcasm]employers love that[/sarcasm]
WIth any ‘vice’ you’ll have chronic abusers.
I don’t disagree, there is a time and a place for everything. Smoking weed all day every day is akin to drinking all day every day in my opinion. If you act responsibly, there isn’t anything wrong with it.
College was fucking crazy though. From my experience, 80% of UB students were smoking multiple times a day and I know plenty of friends and acquaintances have gone on to be plenty successful. That’s about the extent of the incrimination I’ll post on the internet.
There is a difference
One shows bad judgement
The other is breaking the law and potentially company drug policies

So 80% of UB is asian kids and I only know a handful who smoke weed
I don’t agree with your math lol
hey man, all the cool kids were doin it. Just sayin’
I really missed out not going to college
Definitely downsides to smoking… but so does aspirin and most other medication. along with alcohol, and smoking cigs
smart successful people smoking mj? no its just the fact that you associate smoking with people not smart enough to hold good jobs/be successful/ graduate college…etc. Your comments towards that are false.
My friends who smoked a lot of weed in high school/early years of college became extremely successful.
The ones who smoked a lot during their entire time at college not so much.
In either case its more to do with motivation.
