So why legalize it then? If people have hidden it for so long and still became successful, what does legalizing it do? If it’s the people with no control that screw up somehow or end up in jail, what would this change?
Lately while listening for the radio at work they have started a new advertisement for those with “chronic pain” different types of pain etc. and they are looking for people to try out something to help. My only guess is that it is for medicinal marijuana, because every other drug they offer testing they usually say the name.
as far as i know testing for medicinal purposes in NYS is okay, and there is even a program that was allowed by the govt. however it never received funding lol
the states that did pass it, it was voted in by people. if it was legalized here it would have to be passed by lawmakers.
but the federal government can come in and just shit all over this if they wanted. i think they just care about heavy trafficking of drugs, not joe schmo gettin high in his house after work.
as of right now i believe unless you have “intent to sell” or over 28g’s outside of your house it’s just a 100$ fine in NYS
once people realize that you dont just have to smoke it (vaporized, food), i think it will be more socially acceptable and eventually be legalized. i personally think it smells like shit
edit: I thought this thread was super funny at first, until people derailed the fuck out of it.
Anyone can get a medicinal card here in CO anyways, they have stores all over the fucking place that sell it. Legalizing it really isn’t going to change much, other than generating tax revenue instead of wasting it.
