1998 subaru we let it go for 25K. it never burned any oil dipstick was dead nuts in the middle every time I checked it, had like 175K on the motor, changed it at 200. Because it wouldnt go up hills anymore, and was really lacking power and was getting shit mileage. I pulled the drain plug and it came out like black maple syrup!
Changed it and it was like I put a turbo on it! haha power was back, the same hills I couldnt even make it up in 2nd and would have to down shift, 2nd pulls and actually accelerated up them this time! Such a difference!
Crushed it at 236K irc, because of an electrical issue I didnt want to dick with.
