Got a great deal on a supercharger take off from a customer who bought a HP freaks turbo kit… thing has 9k miles on it, its an AA Gen 1 Stage 2 kit…
Should put down ~ 400 WHP on pump gas with my other mods… will eventually get meth to put it at ~ 440 WHP…
Goes in this weekend (wifey has vaca time i can steal her truck while my ECU is away), but my car will be limping for 2 weeks until i can install a new clutch
the last one went fine i loved working on that car… that car is still running as a daily driver and has yet to leave the new owner stranded while putting down > 400WHP on pump gas in NM heat
yea, their TC is expensive, but they dumped A LOT of $$ into R&D for that kit… and so is the ECU and driveability of the kit… not to mention a 3 year warranty…
How many lbs of boost is this setup? Any other parts of the drivetrain besides the clutch need strengthening? Any other mods coming to assist this setup?
no other parts of the drivetrain need anything besides the clutch… and the stock clutch will hold ~ 400WHp… just not for that long… mine has 100k on it, and is starting to slip when it gets some heat into it, so it needs to go…
the HPF cars put ~600 WHP into stock motors/drivetrains all day long…
they get into the 700’s with rods/pistons and an organic clutch
