well the g35 coupe is only around 300 and they have sold shitloads of them, theyre everywhere in the nyc/ LI area…even my mom has one
G35 isn’t 60K+
still a luxo-coupe, and its competing well. i honestly dont think that ppl will pay 60k for a nissan/infiniti. they will most likely go for porsche.
Anybody else ever notice that most of the cool cars are geared towards people who can’t afford them? Makes no fucking sense at all. They ought to raise the prices through the roof on all the soccer mom vehicles so they could sell the performance cars cheaper to the people who really want them. Stupid kids who will wrap them around the first available tree,.
sooo true…it sucks…i think they would make more money on # of sales alone…but in certain cars like the GTR i think Nissan wants to keep it more of a legend and have limited production numbers more so than all out sales…now the 350/450z on the other hand could be their mass produced cheap sports car like they had with the 240sx fun to drive affordable RWD car…i would be happy if they could sell it in the low to mid 20k range…they woyuld sell alot more 350zs and prolly make more on pure sale #s alone
There’s a huge difference between a luxo-coupe and a Super Sport Luxo Coupe (which is where the GTR will be)
and the people that do buy them more often than not never use their potential? :gotme: sad, but true.
a u.s. spec’d skyline can sell a lot of altimas.
i didnt say u did
OMG what happened to this thread???
So much speculation, not enough listening to the intent of Nissan. I’ll quote myself again;
As for;
You’re right - because Nissan has said countless times that (and I quote) “The GTR is being build to directly compete with the Porche 911 Turbo for half the price.” No one said anything about competing with luxo-coupes
Also, all previous GTRs were Skylines. Nissan has, with purpose, now separated the GTR name from Skyline making the GTR its own car. Now why would they do that? :fyi:
