Varuns S13

It’s hard to say though, because you’re dealing with a “hot ticket” car.

And that adds value for no real reason.

A smart person won’t pay what he’s asking, but if someone needs a done up S13 to feel complete, they won’t blink at paying $30,000 for one. Especially if the buyer has no skills whatsoever. They know how much stuff costs, how much it would cost them to have it installed. To them, it might be worth almost $50K, so getting it for 30 is a steal.

The same thing happened with the EG6 Civics. 3 years ago the Auto Trader was full of them all going for $18K+

Now people are back to giving them away again.

Sell it this spring when people have the fever on, and I think he could do it without a problem, especially if he’s willing to drift it for test drives.

… there are very few car that’ retain or go up in value. On the Japaneese side their are even less of a percentage. FD’s were sold for one year in Canada, rare ‘semi’ JDM super car. yet even the cleanest lowest milage cars can oly get $25K on avg… the odd car may go for more if it’s got $15K worth of top self parts on it… but no one ever, ever expects to get what they puit into a car, if you do your niave or have allot of time on your hands to wait for the right person to come along.

Like the civics the market in Ontario/Canada/US is saturated with 240’s those coming in from japan and those locally. msot people who are buying are not looking for a pre finished 240 they are looking for a sub $4000 car that they can fix up… at thier own pace… Your market share of the customer base loking for a <$10K S13 is a fraction of a percent. So year you ‘may’ be able to sell it given enough time and the right conditions.

Value is ONLY added if the vehicle is rare or has some desirable aspect to it… 240’s are not rare and becoming less rare as more are coming in from Japan at less then 1/2 what your looking for ( there’s a car that has intrinsic value due to it’s ’ uniqueness’ )… add’s on’s don’t add value, a 20K audio system is not going to add a cent to a trade in value. An HKS turbo system is not going to add resale value at a dealership. A person looking for a 240 can go to dealership with enough searching find a particualr vehicle with at least some of the extras in it already.

If you were not competeing against 100’s of other cars for a sale, then you could charge what you put into it. But your not… just like all the civicswith $15K in paint and body selling for $8K or so …

value is only what the customer sees in it. the 240 market is a buyers market, not the otherway around.

After all is said and done you put it up for sale at what you think it’s worth… it either sells or it doesn’t… plain and simple, all the arguing back and forth won’t change that one bit.

The S13 market isn’t a buyers market. There are 10 '89-'93 S13’s on Auto Trader right now vs. 157 '89-'93 Civics and 3 FD’s There are a handful of JDM cars rolling around and that’s it (and none for sale right now). I can safetly say that of the 10 S13’s for sale maybe one of them is clean. Varuns car on the other hand is clean by JDM standards.

Yea but Varoom has a small dick… or a vagina, im not sure.

wtf this is getting retarded…

i dont know what jdm standards are i dont think ive seen more than 3 JDM cars around here. every said their thing

JDM = car from japan.

not car that looks like its from japan.

this is locked.

cus its repetitive.
