Verizon FiOS deals?

i get the feeling my usenetserver just got a little bit slower :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m tempted to up my internet to the 25/15.

The installer i had was pretty cool, but the guy stood around talking to me more than doing any work.lol.

The fact that FIOS has been a block from my house for at least 2 years now, since I moved in, and I still can’t get it, is such a turn off that I think i may just stick with RR turbo when we do get it.

Steady at 3174KB/s down.

For those that like full control of their DVR at all times. Sign in using your Verizon.com info. Click on DVR and activate the online part of it. You’ll get an email once it has been activated.

FYI a rep told me about free HBO and Cinemax for 90 days

So what STB’s does everyone have? I had a 6416 (DVR) and it was perfect. No issues always worked. I called and added the Home Media service and the lady told me to bring mine for an upgrade(this is not needed as it is only a software update). So I did. Got an updated DVR STB, 7216, and did the self install. Hooked it up exactly as my old box was and after 30 seconds my TV screen turns green. So now i have an issue with HDCP handshake. GREAT. I know what the issue is, but it is still annoying.

My setup is as follows all connected via HDMI.
STB–HDMI SWITCH–HTReceiver–TV
When I take my Receiver out of the equation all is good.

25 down, .96 up… fios just moved in… hrmmm $130 with TW for digital on one TV w/intarwebs. i are getting screwed.

The Mexican that buried the cable manually with a shovel didn’t look like a chainsaw to me… The chainsaw is called a Ditch Witch. I guess it was in for maintenance on my install day. Not to mention he hacked the fuck out of my lawn

:fu: work speeds…

bump because this finally became avail. here and i just had it installed yesterday. its all amazing, but that STB 7216 is quirky when it comes to HDMI. Anyone else experience problems with this box? more specifically running it through a home theatre receiver?

when running the cable through HDMI1 on the back of the tv, i get nothing, go to HDMI2, and it works. But only if i bypass the receiver., then last night, i put everything back the way it was, HDMI1 and through the receiver, and it magically worked, but now my DVD player don’t work LOL. NOTHING changed from my dish network setup. Tech said they have had known problems with the HDMI on these boxes. Are there any upgrades for this box, or is this the latest and greatest?

For what its worth, installer was here from 9 to 5…ran all new cables and even took out dish networks “birds nest”. He did a top notch install, with all cables and wires neat and tidy. plus…

It should be interesting when cable company’s roll out DOCSIS 3 since the speeds will be more comparable to FiOS

I love my fois
