Sorry if repost, busy day at work.
Well it appears the UK government is also involved in the PRISM program
I saw a PRISM parody account tweet this:
So, how’s everyone doing tonight? Haha JK we already know
Must be a stressful week for the Obama man. He went to do a speech this morning on healthcare and didn’t have his notes at the podium.
I envisioned this as he response:
“Sorry folks, I lost my notes. Eh, the hell with it, I’ll just read a few of your emails instead!”
…came here to mention this, but as usual you guys are on top of things lol.
In unrelated news, don’t give a cop a dirty look or you could be committing a felony?..
Anyone use Cryptocat, encrypted chat plugin/software? NSA approved?
Jabber + OTR plugin will encrypt, and it’s typically what most people do for encypted chat.
OTR ftw
If you want encrypted text and cell check out
It’s funny when people doing illegal things use OTR but forget to disable chat client logging and then get raided
Edward Snowden reveals himself as the person who released the info and hes deflected to China. If you ask me, this guy is a true Patriot. Basically just threw his life away to attempt to protect others.

It will be interesting to see what happens to him as a result. Honestly, revealing his identity to the public might have actually been the safer thing to do.
People are comparing this to the Bradley Manning bullshit…Bradley released operation details and all kinds of documents that put people in danger.
This guy just released information about a program
It’s funny see to each political party take sides on this issue.
He was only with the NSA for 3 months haha.
Oh boy.
I’m sure he wasn’t at the NSA for 3 months…
It takes long then that to get a TS

Q: What do the leaked documents reveal?
A: “That the NSA routinely lies in response to congressional inquiries about the scope of surveillance in America. I believe that when [senator Ron] Wyden and [senator Mark] Udall asked about the scale of this, they [the NSA] said it did not have the tools to provide an answer. We do have the tools and I have maps showing where people have been scrutinised most. We collect more digital communications from America than we do from the Russians.”
Q: What about the Obama administration’s protests about hacking by China?
A: “We hack everyone everywhere. We like to make a distinction between us and the others. But we are in almost every country in the world. We are not at war with these countries.”
Sorry, he was at Booz Allen for less than 3 months. Same thing, bad wording, my bad.
I think it was pretty dumb to reveal himself while in HK. US HK relations are strong and I wouldn’t be surprised if the US leaned on HK and they just hand him over to gain some good will with the whole Chinese state sponsored hacking allegations.
The world is a giant cluster of fucks right now when it comes to computers, the internet, and security
China is hacking everybody…
Goverment is tracking everybody…
Iran and other shitty countries are trying to hack the US…
Nobody has any idea how to fix/stop/control any of this
The US wants to be able to play the offensive game on the internet and hacking other countries but them not sharing vulnerabilities with the private sector and other parts of the government leaves the US vulnerable.
Exactly. Bradley Manning deserves the court marshal he’s almost certainly going to get. Edward Snowden deserves a medal.
I don’t think they will turn him over. If anything, they will probably approach him to try and see what other information they can get out of him, but they probably have what they need from us already…

According to this guy, the U.S. is hacking everyone too…it’s no wonder the government isn’t doing more to stop China from hacking us…
