Vintage Bike smokin' deals dump

I know of a fully restored one. Can’t remember specifics but its old. Though it looks as if it just rolled off the line.

On a side note ill probably be listing my 81Maxim caffee up for sale. It’s about 90% complete. The wiring is all that’s left. Still not really sure what to ask for it though.

I believe he was looking to keep his budget below $4k

198 Yamaha XS??? - $900

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3729500939.html

no pics and vague info…worth a look though, says it’s an army replica and it runs.

1981 Honda CB900 $350

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3729470411.html

1980 Honda CB650 $1000

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3729046253.html

says just needs battery. These bikes were extremely under-rated, they are in fact the pinnacle of single overhead cam technology from the 70’s/80’s. They make the power of the cb750’s with the lightweight and compactness of the cb550. Very desireable combo IMO.

1982 Honda CM450 - $850

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3729007859.html

This bike looks great and well-maintained…solid deal right here

1980 Yamaha XS400 (plus a dirtbike and a pitbike all for) - $1200

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3728385528.html

buy one get two free? The xs400 is worth about $700-800 if running, the other two bikes are worth a few hundred each…could snatch these up and sell the other two

1982 kawasaki KZ550 - $1000

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3727505291.html

looks to just need a carb clean

1983 Suzuki 450suzukimatic - $1200

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3726822014.html

looks extremely well cared for…and it’s a 2-speed AUTO! that’s right, no shifting gears.

Hey Focus. How good are you at doing wiring? Might be willing to toss you a few bucks to finish off my maxim. I can do it but want to get my Gixxer up and running first. Then I have a bunch of house shit I have to finish off and an engine rebuild before that. So my schedule is pretty packed. Lmk

Forgot to add. I have all the schematics. Both factory and the “simplified” wiring I’m after.

provide the schematics and the supplies and me and my crew can get it done for cheap.

Nick, make a ramp that goes into your basement for more room, god damn batman.

1971 Honda CL450 scrambler - $900

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3734459774.html

truth be told, if I had cash and space I would not be posting this link and would be instead purchasing this bike. I LOVE scramblers, and this is the biggest scrambler honda made to my knowledge. It’s in great shape with only 7,400 miles. EXCELLENT starter bike. I encourage anyone to take a look/buy this thing

1973 Honda CB350 - $550

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3741308201.html

looks like a solid starter bike. worth a look for sure.

1972 Honda SL350 - $800

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3740292924.html

No idea if this is a good deal or not, no pics and barely any description…

1976 Yamaha XS650 - $400

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3739726168.html

missing tank and mice got into the wiring…easy stuff to remedy! I think this is a great deal…the XS is a great bike

i am almost tempted to pick up the cb350 just for the hell of it

focusinprogress
I just wanna say props to you for taking the time to post these
thanks

1982 Kawasaki 305 - $500

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3742763567.html

never heard of a 305…but bike looks really nice for $500

1982 Kawasaki 550 - $770

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3742835979.html

1980 Honda 400 - $700

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3742928757.html

1982 Yamaha 650 maxim - $850

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3733692216.html

I’d sell my 73 triumph tiger for $3500 partially restored lol

I love all these old bikes. Sometimes I miss my 79 CB750F

x2 I rarely go on nyspeed, but i have been lurking this the last few weeks.

1971 Honda CB175 - $800

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3746559845.html

it’s a little guy, but looks like a decent scoot for putting around town or teaching your g/f to ride.

1984 Honda Goldwing Limited Edition - $1300

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3745825876.html

I don’t know anything about the “Limited Edition”, but description says runs and rides great, so in my opinion $1300 is a good deal even if it’s not some rare edition

1982 Suzuki GL1100 - $1000

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3745762332.html

Now, this has a trans issue…that being said, this bike COULD be a good score if it’s something simple like a busted shift fork or clutch-related. Worst case scenario, you can usually grab a whole set of trans internals on ebay for around $100 or less if you bargain shop. This is a big bike with a big motor, will def. move out for an oldy once fixed.

1982 Honda Goldwing - $1000

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3746144039.html

this bike looks like it was really well-maintained, quite the deal at this price, won’t last long

1976 Honda Goldwing - $900

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3745989808.html

Man, lots of really great goldwings up for cheap!

1979 Kawasaki 650sr - $1200

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3745984418.html

looks pretty solid besides the poorly-recovered seat. This generation of kawasaki is desireable because the mag wheels are extremely similar to the vintage Morris Mag wheels of racing heritage.

1976 Honda CB550SuperSport - $2000

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3745236770.html

Now, this is one of the most “expensive” bikes I’ve tossed into this thread…but let me be clear, this is a SMOKING DEAL. This is a totally 100% stock, beautiful, unmolested all original CB550F. It’s even in the best color available, the pearl blue. This bike needs nothing, it’s totally awesome just the way it is. buy it and ride it.

Man I really want this little 175…just because its so small. But judging by the location, Id prefer not to get jumped going to look at it =P

i have a pretty good idea whos bike that is and i dont think youll have such an issue.

1980 Yamaha XS850 - $1600

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3745110071.html

these yamaha triple’s are pretty rad. they are super reliable, and they have a lot of grunt to them. the shaft drive makes for VERY smooth riding. this one appears to be in awesome shape, I think the price is right on.

1972 Triumph Tiger - $3000

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3739265156.html

looks a LITTLE rough, but these bikes pull a ton of money in tip-top shape.

1982 Kawasaki KZ550 - $1000

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3746695425.html

looks pretty damn nice.

1973 Yamaha 650 - $650

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3750683104.html

no pics, says needs put together in the ad…I’m assuming it’s an xs650. worth a call

1982 Kawasaki KZ750 - $1200

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3713923014.html

has some silly stuff like sissy bar and windscreen, but also seems to have what looks to be an old kerker exhaust on it…could be a nice start to a build
