Vintage Bike smokin' deals dump

1974 Honda CB550 - $750

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3839735100.html

Looks like it just needs some wires chased down and maybe a new flasher unit…these are my absolute specialty the CB500/550, but I don’t have the time or space for this thing.

I bet you anything that wiring is a SUPER easy fix. Looks great. I wish I had the $ for it but not right now.

It was already sold ;-(

1981 Suzuki GS450E - $500

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3856731945.html

Looks like a super nice bike, aside from having “electrical issues”…which are probably a very simple repair. Great deal IMHO

You know, a lot of you guys troll this thread and then if I don’t post deals for a few weeks ask for more, but I never see anyone putting up a “bag of milk” or build thread!!!

QUIT WINDOW SHOPPING AND SCORE YOURSELF A DEAL!!! The season will be over before you know it! Carpe Diem and all that shit!

1980 Honda CB 650 $400

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3861463654.html

Looks like it needs a little love, but a perfect candidate!

I was hiding that one for myself! lol. I happen to have the replacement regulator/rectifier-combo it needs, as well as a spare non-titled frame and two spare motors. This thing would cafe really well. If someone else buys it, I’m willing to sell some parts and do some labor to get it up and going for cheapish…

HAHAHA! I saw that you didn’t post it and thought you missed it…I certainly have me eye on it, but the time just isn’t right. Will it ever be?

no, the timing will never be right…which is why you just have to fly by the seat of your pants and pull the trigger lol. go offer that dude $275 and call me when the deal’s done.

explain that the reg/rec unit is $120. (it is) and that if that’s not the only thing wrong with it (plus needing a seat) that you’re not comfortable spending much more than that in case it turns into a can of worms.

I just dropped $600 on a mountain bike for my girl, you mean to tell me I could have bought this instead?!

AND had money left. This is why women are a damper on manly life.

Well guys, if you were looking to snag a deal you may have missed your shot…the market is high now, I’m finding that non-running bikes are going for $1k give or take, and $1800-2k for running vintage bikes. I’ve broadened my search to rochester and this is ALL i’ve found in two weeks

1982 Suzuki GS850 - $500

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/3838088617.html

Says needs a little work, doesn’t say if it runs or not.

Wow what a difference a couple weeks make! Maybe I should just sell my projects instead of fixing them lol

some deals have been sneaking into the mix lately again:

1982 Honda CB900 Custom - $450

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3896645407.html

says just needs carb work…bring it to me and for $100 it’ll leave running like a top.

1974 Honda Hawk 400 - $800

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3895491185.html

says just needs a battery!

1980 Honda CB650 - $no price listed

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3886172663.html

says needs quick cash or a drivable car in trade.

Anything besides these bikes are either missing paperwork and $500, or are ready to go for $1500+

1974 Honda CB360 - $750

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3906086133.html

looks pretty good, very complete…nice bike at a fair price.

1978 Yamaha XS500 - make offer

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3909253966.html

looks to be mostly complete, not sure if it runs, but has title. Looks like a $300-500 bike to me

1982 Honda CB900 Custom - $850

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3908292694.html

This bike is actually in fantastic shape and ready to ride or personalize. super cheap.

1981 Yamaha XS400’s (two of them) - $750

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mcy/3908227326.html

one’s a parts bike with no title, but it’s a fair price for the one bike without having the parts bike included. make a deal, sell what you don’t need/want from the parts bike, and maybe end up with almost no investment into getting the bike!

Vintage bikes suck, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

My buddy has this for sale for $900 firm. Smoking deal, I personally replaced the motor on this bike, tuned the carbs, new 520 chain and sprockets conversion, clubman bars, hand-made bratsyle seat, LED tail light, everything murdered out. Just needs a battery.

I am storing it in my garage at this time, I can broker the deal/show the bike. need a day’s notice so I can leave the current battery on charge for test ride.

That’s pretty close to what I wnat my KZ400 to look like.
With the exception of gutting the area under the seat.
