i just completed the 1991 VR4 engine install i was working on …

the guy bought the carfor $300 without engine from 3si.org, from illinois, then bought a JDM engine shipped from japan for $3850 (with shipping).

i pulled the engine from the clip sent from japan, and installed it into the shell, took about 3 weeks, mostly bc i had gotten 14 stiches in my foot, then when i went back to work, my sleep was all messed up for the first week since i work 3rd. i porlly have about 20-25 hours into it, andi just got it running amazing today

took the car out for a test drive after i finished, stock boost guage is pegging at 14psi, not sure if its a bad guage or if theres something wrong - we will have to get a “real” guage to find out

the double pic is of when the oil cooler line blew a hole in it - oil EVERYWHERE

nice oil mark … at least one part of your house will never rot away

looks like he got a damn good deal on the car in total … unless u charged like 5k for the engine swap, lol

hehehehe of course i did !!! no like 500 + some parts for my TT including full engine harness, axles and a few others

car looks damn clean for 300 as far as the body work taht is visible in the pics

im looking at the 2 pics of the oil…as if its a game…to find a difference in the 2 pics…and i cant see any…

Too many turbos to be had in one area. :tup:

we do a count daily…

one day we had like 8 turbos… and only 3 of them were TTs…
