A local community automotive forum posting things about local bike enthusiasts crashing? It’s as simple and not clicking on the thread instead of being an ignorant fuck.
rip, Best of luck to the family and friends.
every single time I think about buying a bike, I read about a crash and/or death. seems like its been the riders lately but alot of the time ppl just dont look out for bikers.
RIP
It is a risky hobby but these articles aren’t the ones that worry me as they are typically rider error or poor decisions. Flying 100+mph down the 190 trying to out run the police or possibly being drunk and riding with a passenger down back roads at 4am are just risky decisions that add to a dangerous hobby. My biggest fear is some asshole on a cell phone not paying attention and deciding the occupy the same lane that I am in.
Yeah alot of bad decisions are being made.
I feel like I have a death wish wanting a bike… It’s sad when these things happen, I feel I’m a good driver but I never owned a bike but hopefully soon I will.
Wow, the Buffalo News reporter is getting ripped a new a-hole in the comments.
This stuff is getting out of control…
I hate reading these threads, but I’m happy they’re made. God forbid it ever be a close friend of mine… I’d hate to find out a week after the funeral because somebody forgot to give me a ring
How is the Buffalo News even in business anymore? Does Warren Buffet still own them? If so he must be keeping them open just to get his opinion/message out there.
I don’t think people understand the frustration and anger the motorcycle community has toward The Buffalo News, WIVB, WGRZ, and WKBW.
I understand that everyone and their fucking mother thinks motorcyclists are ignorant, careless, dangerous people, but when you start writing articles that CLEARLY attack these motorcyclists, hurt their image and have a complete disregard for the tragedy…you’re poking at a hornet’s nest. We usually keep quiet and just shrug it off as “whatever, fuck those guys” but after Jose and Rich, and now these two…I can tell that riders are getting fed up. We are ALWAYS getting bashed left and right for shit, let’s focus on the lives lost and memories, not the god damn statistics, dangers and hearsay surrounding this crap.
+1…If you’re a responsible rider, I’d be much more worried that someone is going to merge into me on the 90 or something. Don’t drink and drive (anything), and don’t be weaving in and out of traffic especially at high speeds. If you want to show off take it to the track.
or a super drunk kid that occupies the lane your in and doesnt even know you are there. NOT fun, trust me
Not to be a dick, but you guys can be mad all you want. These accidents are clearly rider error and not anyone elses fault.
^It’s not always the case though. Read the articles from accidents where it wasn’t rider error. Same damn story, it always ends up being doom and gloom.
Yeah I know, but its accidents like Rich and Jose that give the rep that is out there. The news is just jumping on the bandwagon of the “sportbike awarness” factor.
Ya its a vehicle you can take places but def requires responsibility. I stop out at night with my bike and have a beer or two to see people but I am also not ripping it at 80 through back roads on the way home. I want to do a track day this year to really get leaning and speed test my bike without the dangers of sliding into a curb/guardrail/car.
Honestly, its a tragic crash that two people are dead for making bad choices but I really lost some respect when I saw Jose’s mom at the memorial ride in a hoodie that said “I do wheelies and run from the cops”.
The fuck?
Should say “I did wheelies and ran from the cops one too many times.”
